Let me start with saying that the location is ok, the rooms are fine and the service is Based on international standards. It's new and fresh, only... It smelled in the bar so terribly after burned frying oil that It became unbearable for me. I suffer from asthma, so I had to find another place to eat that night. The... More

Stayed here (in my hometown) to prevent my Marriott Rewards points from expiring. Immediate surroundings are a little deserted, although in the very city centre, but bus and subway are practically around the corner. Room and bathroom were spacious, modern and fresh. Bed was good. Wifi fast. Breakfast buffet very good. Big downpoint: non-existent noise insulation between rooms (unsual for... More

Its a typical well located - functional - contemporay -modern city business hotel in the classic Marriott 3 star + category with ok sized rooms , but very friendly and professional staff and 4 star service The only downside is its rather very bland layout and design and the so called gym, which is really just a 15 sm2 room... Great location, it's within walking distance to many great tourist attractions. Close to a subway station and many restaurants within a stones throw. Has restaurant and bar at location. Very nice staff and as a added surprise the TV had a welcome marquee with your name on it.

This hotel is near the subway station - UBahn station - and bus stops. It is near almost to the famous museums of Berlin. There is a grocery store but it is quite a walk for some people. There are not plenty of restaurants to go to. The hotel's restaurant has a limited food to choose from. Breakfast is expensive.... More

Of the many hotels worldwide that I have visited this hotel has by far the best WIFI- Internet (broad band) that is free of charge if you are a Marriott rewards' customer. The genius of this hotel is its location. It is served by a nearby U-Bahn station on the U2 line which is great for exploring the city, but the hotel is a short walk to many historical attractions such as the Humbolt University, Unter den Linden and Brandenburg Gate. Alexanderplatz is also walkable. The hotel is modern and the rooms... More

Room was clean and had everything we needed. The staff at the hotel were very friendly. We didn't have breakfast here so cannot comment. Felt very safe in surrounding area including walking back late at night. Great location for main attractions. All positive, nothing I would have changed.

I was so pleasantly surprised by my stay here. The location is great - close to Museum Island, Gendarmenmarkt, and within walking distance of good restaurants. The room was large and comfortable, and well maintained. All of the staff were accommodating and friendly. If you stay, I might recommend getting the breakfast package if offered. I didn't get it when... More

The staff is helpful and friendly, breakfast buffet offered a huge variety; I had a spacious room which was fully equipped and clean, bed comfortable as always with Marriott I used this location instead of the Marriott at Potsdamer Platz and was not disappointed.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
