Spent 7 days in the Maritim. From check in to check out everything was perfect. The service excellent , always helpful, even before i arrived. And the famous breakfast i did hear before was more excellent than i expected. Even with Berlinale and another event around, there was always space in the restaurant and no waiting line like in other... More

Great place to stay for business purposes. Quiet rooms, restaurants, art galleries and cinemas on walking distance. For Berlin standards reasonable pricing, in house parking, swimming pool and sauna/fitness facilities.

Maritim Hotels & Resorts is known for rather rundown and shabby properties in Germany, but Berlin Maritim was a positive surprise. Rooms: Good size, rather small TV and old model. Not a Flatscreen yet. Bathroom very good size, but rather thin, worn out Towels. Minibar is the usual Hotel Rip off. No complimentary Bottle of Water or Coffee Making Facilities in... More

I am reluctant to share this information, because I am afraid it might get too busy there ... but nevertheless, I review it. It is a huge hotel, with everything that comes with it - excellent staff, like you would expect from a first class hotel like this; at first I thought the breakfast is expensive, but when you see... Everything you would expect from a top flight hotel in the cultural centre of Berlin. Cannot recommend highly enough, brekfast buffet is to die for and dining room superb. Concierge is beyound compare and has a staff of "angels" from whom nothing is too much trouble. You can probably guess we totally enjoyed our stay and fully intend to repeat... More

Booked a last minute trip for my Birthday just 2 weeks before Christmas and this hotel was very reasonable so didn't expect too much but it was brilliant! I recently spent several nights at this hotel during a business trip to Berlin. This is a very large hotel that offers a wide range of amenities (e.g., spa, pool, full restaurant, bar) and is well suited for large conferences and events. Overall, I found the physical amenities to be nice, and I thought my room was very spacious and... More

The hotel was a ten to fifteen minute walk from amenities such as supermarkets and a longer walk if one wants to head towards Brandenburg Gate. Potsdamplatz and Mall of Berlin are about twenty minutes walk away. The nearest S/U-Bahn stations are also about a kilometre walk away. The rooms are big and clean; bathrooms are heated which is a... Very clean, plain, large American-style hotel. But the staff is curiously uncaring. My room was never made up, and I called about 17hr to ask if it could please be done, as politely as possible. I went to dinner, came home at 22h and it was the same. No "do not disturb" on the door after 12h. I called again,... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
