The service and location of this hotel is amazing. I stayed 2 nights with my fiancé and called ahead to surprise her for her birthday. They arranged to have balloons, roses, and chocolate cake in the room before we arrived. As soon I mentioned my name at check they were excited to see us! The room was huge and very... More

This is a huge hotel with a very grand, spacious lobby area which seems to be wasted space, although this is probably used by conference delegates as I think this market sector is what the hotel is aimed at. Rooms are very comfortable but lack tea/coffee making facilities which would be a real bonus. The breakfast buffet is amazing, one... More

We stayed here as part of a tour. Very large hotel but rooms were very quiet. We overlooked the roof garden. Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. They located my phone charger which I had left in our room in the Maritime, Dresden and arranged for it to be sent to my home address. They also lent me a phone... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights on a Riviera tour. It is well located near the Tiergarten park and Potsdamer Platz and walking distance to the Brandenburg gate and Reichstag. The foyer and reception areas are impressive with a huge chandelier. The hotel is well decorated with photos of famous sights around the world in the corridors. Our... More

We stayed here for 5 nights in July. As other reviewers have said, this is a big hotel aimed at conferences - but that doesn't make it a bad hotel. We can be a bit picky about rooms and have often asked to change once we have seen the allocated room. On this visit we changed twice. The first time... More

Spent 4 nights here with hubby, who was staying for a meeting. in an exec suite. Spacious, elegant and comfy. Lovely large bathroom with tub and separate shower, but best of all was heated floor! All was impeccably clean. The breakfast buffet is complete, high quality, and delish! Short walks ( half block in ine direction, about three blocks in... More

This is a huge hotel and very busy not for those who like any degree of quiet intimacy or the personal touches. There are a lot of functions here and on arrival there was one concluding and it was very noisy in the reception and first floor area. Also we noted that the seating in the front lounge had been... Excellent conference rooms and meeting facilities, I thought. They are spacious and handsome. Some of the best I've ever seen. But I would hesitate to book a meeting here again. Two problems: 1) Hotel is isolated from any conveniences or stores, and does not have a lobby shop for sundries. 2) Strangely, I thought, for the size of the lobby... More

There are two Hotel Maritims in Berlin (it's a chain). This one is located in the embassies district, not too far from the Brandenburg Gate, and a 5 minute walk from the Tiergarten, which is great for a short morning walk. The hotel is fairly large, and a very good place for a conference: there is a sizable main auditorium... More

This was a wonderful hotel. The room was spacious and safe. The bed was a little uncomfortable but once I got used to it all was fine. The breakfast was good, lots,to choose from. The pool area was beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
