Excellent hotel at first sight with a stunning reception/atrium area. Staff were friendly but struggled with english. Everyone complained about the hot temperature of the rooms;although there was air conditioning, it did not really work properly and shut off if a window was opened. Poor wi fi service unlessyou sat in the atrium. The hotel looks good but did not... More

We came as a part of a CMS cruse group for one night. When they gave us the keys for our 2 rooms which had 2 beds each instead of 2 + 3 beds rooms as was reserved by the company. We found 2 small rooms with 2 beds each without a place for the third bed. The bell boy... More

The hotel is outstanding in all respects. The Breakfast Buffett is worth the stay. The service, and employees were outstanding, friendly and helpful. The tour group we were on picked the hotel and did a great job. The only drawback was that it was a little far from the comercial area of the city. But even this made a nice... More

I had a 3 night stay here. I was attracted firstly by the price ( what else?!) and by the fact it has a swimming pool and sauna. Even so it is a very nice hotel with friendly staff and beautiful rooms. OK it is a bit sterile as most big hotel chains are but that's life, isn't it? Well... More

Have stay here only one night. My room was 6019, that junior suit with great city view of reighstag and TV tower. Room and hotel both are very good condition and designed very well. Service is great and breakfast delicious. Very recommended hotel. WiFi OK and free of charge. Hotel also have good swimming pool and finish dry sauna.

recently stayed here for 2 nights as part of a tour. The hotel is huge and very grand with over 500 rooms, but has a modern touch too, and is spotlessly clean. Reception was friendly and always ready to assist, and the rooms(ours was at the far end of a very long corridor), were spacious and comfortable with some beautiful... More

A really large, old-fashioned(in a good sense) hotel. Huge wide corridors - easy to get lost - with lots of marble & fine wood decor. Rooms have good aircon, superb clean well-appointed bathrooms, loads of wardrobe space. Bed is huge and you have robes & slippers at your disposal. A lovely pool area on 5th floor (knew I should have... More

This hotel is in an excellent location and the room I had was quite comfortable. I loved the breakfast buffet (the German breakfast buffet is one of my favorite things in the world) and the conference rooms and facilities on site were all very nice. My one big complaint was with the WIFI. Maybe they have fixed it, but even... More

We stayed in this hotel whilst on a 4 day sight seeing trip to Berlin. The hotel is of course part of a huge chain and as such is a very "standardised" four star hotel. That being said, as such hotels go, it was really well done out. The rooms are very spacious: I was there with my husband but... More

The Maritin Hotel is a strange one. It is as good as it gets for a big 4/5 star hotel, close to some interesting places in Berlin like Potsdamer Platz, Brandeburg Gate and museums/historic places (the closest is at least 15 min by walk) etc. but what hit me most is that is a strange hotel (at least for me).... Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
