I was looking for a cheap accommodation in Berlin just for a night before going to the airport when I saw this hotel. The location is great (just around the corner of one of the most important boulevard in Berlin); and communication with the hotel was great too... but when I arrived (9 pm more or less) I found the... I was here when Rail trade fair was in Berlin 22.9.-24.9. Nice room no 29, Breakfast at the 4th floor, average level. This is not hotel for rest at your business trip. This is hotel for asleep and relatively good situated. UBahn and SBahn almost close to 11 minutes by walking. I recommend for young people.

We got there past midnight but that was no problem. The desk clerk was friendly and helpful at all times and gave us loads of useful tips such as train/bus ticket deals and where to eat. The double bed was very comfortable, the shower powerful and the room light and spacious. All the floors creak and the place is well... More

I was there for two nights (4&5july 2014) . Its location is the best choice for tourists. We used the free parking in the street by the hotel permitThe breakfast was perfect. The reception helped us contacting our family in Berlin. It is an old building but has many historic aspects in it.

We booked this hotel because of the good reviews we saw here, and were very disappointed. We got the ground-floor apartment (apartment #1 and #2), which according to the desk clerk, they have had for at least 5 years. We were surprised at that because it is not at all like anything we read here. We had four people in... More

I've stayed in this hotel for one week and I can't complain about anything. Its location is good, in a nice neighbourhood with many restaurants nearby and also the public transport is close. We had a big room in the fourth floor, simply furnished, but clean and quiet. In my opinion the breakfast was really rich (maybe the coffee could... More

The building it's quite old, the hotel it's ok good according to the price. I loved the area. Well connected, close to the shopping area, restaurants or public transport. The staff was nice and very helpfull. Breakfast it's very basic, the room was clean and the bathroom was also nice and clean. I just didn't liked the door locks, I... More

Our trip began in Berlin, so we spent the first three nights here. This hotel was very easy to get to from the airport on the regular bus ( #109 I think). The hotel is less than two blocks from where you get off the bus. The man at the reception was extremely helpful. Answered all of our questions and... More

Hotel KIMA is an interesting combination of "almost". Location is convenient to Ku-damm, but a long walk from the main attractions (KaWaDe) at the other "end" of the Ku-damm, and a good 15 minutes walk to the nearest stop on the Hop-on, Hop-off sightseeing bus. The entrance-way is very unwelcoming at night. The room was spacious but sparse and dreary,... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
