Staff were so kind, friendly and helpful. They try their best to help you and give you any information you want. Breakfast was good for a 3 star hotel. The room was clean and large. Although it is mentioned in hotel page and my confirmation that rooms have safe boxes, there was no safe box in hotel rooms and we... More

Stayed here for the weekend, the building is tired and in need of a refurb. My room had the squeakiest floor I've ever heard, every little step made a noise. Room was clean enough and bed was comfy. The old double glazing units were quaint and actually did block traffic noise, although it is on a quiet street in a... More

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel many times when visiting Berlin. The location is ideal with bus stops within 5 minutes walking distance and the S-Bahn say 10 minutes. There plenty of resteraunts around to suit all tastes as well as shops, upmarket and middle of the road. We found this hotel a few years ago and... More

It was my own fault. I waited to long to have my friend in Berlin make a hotel booking for me in her neighborhood. Thus, the Hotel Astrid. Nothing was wrong with the hotel. It was fine. It is clean, centrally located along Berlin's Kurfurstendamm (equivalent of the Champs Elysees in Paris), and friendly. The breakfast is fine. But, the... More

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel many times before and it is of a consistent good standard. The location is extremely good for getting around Berlin and is within reach of the S-Bahn, U-Bahn and bus.You can easily walk to the Zoo in about 12 minuets.Breakfast is reasonable and the rooms are adequate, there is a lift available.... The Astrid Hotel is a solid hotel not far from Savignyplatz and its array of wonderful restaurants. Incredibly quiet the beds are comfy and the breakfasts have all you could need (cereals, cold meats, juice and coffee) - but don't expect anything more. Also don't expect luxury - the stairs leading to reception creak, and the lift is very rickety!... More

My wife and I stayed in this hotel on part two of our honeymoon as we intended to visit the Berlin Beer Festival. We have stayed here a few times before and the hotel still maintains it's high standards. They have updated their door key system from key to card which is an improvement. The staff are friendly and helpful... More

I spent 3 nights in quite a large room on 2.floor, separated from the public rooms by two doors. I had no problem with noise except from what I created myself because of the creaking floor. (I may just have been lucky with both room and neigbouring guests, of course.) I could sleep well in cool air from the big... More

Great location just beside Kurfurstendamm. The hotel is like a very big apartment. Can be very noisy thou to the young public. This room was in need of a big clean up, kind of dirty carpet etc.The breakfast was allright och so was the price. Recommended for perople on a tight budget and don´t want to stay in a youthhostel.

Location was great, very near train station, shops, bars, restaurants all within easy walking distance. Very comfortable room, plenty for breakfast, overall good value for money, only comment was sometimes the shower was cold.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
