Stayed here for three night in June 2014. This hotel is rather cheap in price and you get what you pay for. We got yelled at in the reception for not using the hotel's street parking option and instead used the parking garage 50 meters down the street. Off to a great start. The room and breakfast were OK. spacious room with the bare minimal such as bed,tv and bathroom. tv has only one english channel which happens to be Cnn (give me bbc news anyday). breakfast costs 6 euros and consists of a breakfast buffet which is not worth the money. it is about a 40 minute walk to the brandenburg gate but if you walk about 10... Slowly and discommunication receive at our arrival. Five words to speak to us were still too much. Small room and very small sanitary. Dirty towels were still in the bathroom. Dark corridors, small elevators. Problems with refreshing the towels. For a few hours we left our Luggage after outcheck and we had to pay for the store-room. Wifi is €... More

Spent 3 nights in a small but very clean room. The small bathroom with shower was very clean too. The room was quiet. Breakfast was served on the second floor in a cheerful room. The breakfast itself was not that good. But all in all I had a good stay there. Very good value for money. Oh yes, and the... More

I went with 18 other people for a study trip. Our first spot of annoyance was that they charged a 30 euro deposit from each and every one of us on arrival. When we left a few days later, they did not pay each of us 30 euros back; they rather payed the total sum for all of us in... More

I went with a group, and we were all treated terribly. - We were promised free Wifi, but had to pay. - Some of us were charged over 100 eur for supposedly "ruining a wardrobe door." They were not even allowed to go in the room and see what they meant. - The shower in my room was broken -... More

My two out of five rating for this hotel is for the free breakfast that they serve and the fact that it wasn't awfully dirty. However, in general, the hostel/hotel was scary, dark, not completely clean and didn't even have free wifi. They have a computer in the lobby that takes 20minutes to load a page and that's about it.... More

Terrible experience, dirty everywhere, no change of towels, dirty cups and glasses. Ants and small flies in the room. Lousy breakfast and extremely poor service. Simply old and worn. Make sure when you will open the window, suddenly you are standing with the window in your hand! NOT HABITABLE! Not free wifi!

Poorly furnihsed rooms, dirty corridors and showers. Seems to be more 2** than 3***. Unfriendly staff who makes you troubles just because they can do so (Czech speaking man with dark hair). Good location.

I did not give this company my credit card details. Nonetheless, they managed to obtain it from a third party and then proceeded to charge me 90% of the hotel room when I canceled more than a week in advance. Yeah, maybe they have it in their small print, but it is still a scam. They don't give you the... More

Dear Sirs, First of all we are astonished about receiving this „rating“ (with all-round lowest possible scores) when the customers readily admit they didn’t even stay at our house! Clearly against the rules of this website, but demonstrates nicely how ratings on tripadvisor are reviewed internally before publishing. As well, we have no record of a cancellation fee being charged... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
