We were supposed to spend three or four nights, we ran away the first day. We arrived at this hotel (calling it an hotel is an euphemism) in the evening, a VERY UNFRIENDLY blonde woman tell us that our room will be ready shortly. We look around the place and we realize that we were inside of an apartment where... More

Seeking a large quiet apartment, we booked an apartment that advertised a peaceful garden aspect. While the room offered a unique old Berlin flavour and ambiance, it was, unfortunately, located directly underneath a well patronized bordello, with constant noise throughout the night (doorbells ringing and heavy footsteps). The proximity to Kurfürstenstraße was very convenient. Breakfast each morning was fine but... More

This small hotel is very well located within a few minutes walk of Kurfurstendamm the main street of Charlottenburg, a very nice area of Berlin. Lovely airy clean room, tastefully decorated featuring a comfortable four poster bed. Good European style breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend for a very reasonably priced short city break.

Decent place pretty cheap but right under some club where there is constantly music playing. The place it self is pretty clean and nice with a old style. Windiws are like paper so make sure you pull down the sunprotect so no one breaks in.

About 5-10 mins' walk from Savignyplatz S-Hahn station.Nice clean room, comfy 4 poster bed, polite & helpful staff, good breakfast, handy location for Ku Damm. When you arrive you may think you've made a mistake due to the hotel occupying one floor of a building,so hotel location not immediately obvious.Toilet-themed pub next door (!!) and an excellent Italian restaurant up the road.

We stayed here two nights, and will stay here again on our next trip! The room was very reasonably priced, a good location in a nice area, and the breakfast was fantastic! Just as good as any cafe, and at only 6 euros, much cheaper. The only complaint is the shower, the hot water and water flow were a bit... More

Really nice hotel where I have stayed a few times before. Good value mid range hotel situated in an impressive building with an old fashioned stair case (there is a lift too) This time there was a problem with the bill. The travel agent hadn't paid it in advance as they were supposed to but after a phone call they... More

This small hotel located in an ancient residential dwelling on the 3d floor. On the 2nd floor there is bordello. The sound insulation is rather good (but sometimes you can listen the music played in bordello) but due to wooden floors the smoke from 2nd floor gets into your rooms in the evening. This is the only disadvantage of this... More

I stayed just the one night on a layover in the city, which I know quite well. This small hotel in a residential block just off Kudamm gave me the location I needed at a very good price. The room was small (others are bigger) but the atmosphere was relaxed and the hotel was quiet at night. The choice of... More

It was very clean, the staff were friendly and spoke some English. Our room (room 1) was large with a bay window, very light and sunny and had a sofa and easy chair as well as twin/double bed. The bathroom was fine - shower (no bath) and loo. None of it was up-to-date. It could be a fantastic spot if... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
