We visited Nov 14 for 2 nights. This hotel has a great location for shops and night life. Rooms are good, nice and clean. Breakfast area and reception are good as is the food itself. Hotel is an old appartment block with a lift and stairway needing a bit of attention but other than this it is fine. Parking is... More

We stayed at hotel Elba for our wedding and booked several of our international wedding guests into the hotel. The reviews were throughout very positive. The location is in a nice part of Berlin, former western part, with little shops and restaurants close. The staff at the hotel is very friendly and accommodating. The hotel has a lot of charm... We choose this hotel based on the trip adviser reviews and were not disappointed. The hotel appears to be a mix of residential and hotel rooms. The room was spacious and comfortable and in typical European style for an old building the bathroom was retrofitted with a slightly raised floor for plumbing. The hotel does not offer room service but... More

The hotel is perfectly located off KuDamm, in the middle of everything. From TXL you reach it by bus 109, which stops 50 meters off at the corner of Bleibtreustrasse. Buses, S-Bahn and subway can be reached within a 5 minutes walk, and takes you everywhere in the City. (Buy a day ticket at the ticket machine it takes you... More

Excellent location, right off KuDam, close to public transport, shops, and some great local neighborhoods. Area between hotel and Savigny S-bahn station is well worth a long stroll, not touristy at all considering the area and tons of restaurants and bars. Breakfast was good, but arrive early before fresh baked bread is gone.

I found this hotel online for a trip to Berlin with my friends. It was in a perfect location and we were able to visit lots of the sights around the city from this base. The underground and over ground stations were just up the road and there were plenty of shops and restaraunts near by too. The staff were... More

Hotel is decorated very cozy, you feeling like you are at home. Women on reception speak perfectly russian. Breakfast is not very rich, this is not "swedish table", waitress brings breakfast to tables directy. But its still satisfying. Location is really convenient, no need to walk far from Kurfurstendamm after hard shopping. The Hotel has a separate library room, with... More

The location was perfect, right off of Berlin's main shopping street, easy to access the U-Bahn and the S-Bahn and the bus system, very close to many stores, cafes and restaurants. Kind of far from the Brandenburg gate/Reichstag/Checkpoint Charlie.. That being said it is SO easy to use the bus system there that you should have no problems. A little... More

I would say that hotel has a super location - near of Kudamm and has a fare price. It has a very very nice breakfast. For a small hotel they service a big variety of food. Rest is "ok". Not very friendly staff. We did not have any bad experience, but they do not smile that much and don't make... More

Comfortable hotel, a little jaded in places, but it is clean and tidy, and in the perfect location for exploring berlin. Our room was superb, with a balcony. Breakfast was fine, and there is a nice garden which guests can use. A little noisey at night due to the squeaky floorboards, (as it's an old building) Staff were friendly and... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
