I stayed in this hotel when going to see the group Arcade Fire perform. I had never wanted to see Berlin and only went because a friend had come over from Australia and had bought me a ticket for the gig, however I loved Berlin and especially Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg the name of the district the hotel is in, a very bohemian... +Great location. + Friendly staff +clean rooms +fully equipped - Apartment's window "view" was of a shack and parking lot. Could hear the guests in the other rooms and hallways. -The lighting in the living room could have been better

I used to live in Friedrichshain and was looking for a place to stay in my old neighborhood. I found Juncker's and stayed in the two room apartment on the 3rd floor. (It was the only apartment available.) It was very clean, spacious, light, and fully equipped. The only thing it lacked was a Microwave. For the two of us,... More

We visited Berlin with my family in November 2014. Decided to book an apartment at Junckers. I’m not talking about the hotel which, I bet, is great. I mean only the Junckers Apartments at the same place. At first everything looked good. Both the price and the pictures seemed alright so we went for it. Apartments looked much cared for,... More

This hotel's staff seems like ghosts; they keep a low profile. However, when I needed something, they showed up out of nowhere to help me with what I was seeking. I liked the staff here: especially, the tall housekeeper who always says, "Good morning" with confident smile in her glasses and the guy with English spoken at a superfluous speed... More

I stayed here for 2 nights on the 24th & 25th September 2014 in a single room (#37) when visiting Berlin for a trade expo at the Berlin Messe. The reason I booked this hotel was that compared to others hotels in Berlin with good reviews the Juncker's Hotel was reasonably priced and it seemed to have good links to... More

Just got back from a 4 night stay here. Very good base for a variety of bars and restaurants. Bit further away from all the sites but the subway is cheap and easy to use. Great service from the reception staff. Our room was really big and very quiet during the night. Bed comfy enough but the pillows are terrible!... More

Hi there! I have been in this hotel for 6 nights during my last visit in Berlin. The room was clean, as well as the services and toilet. It is placed in Est Berlin, between the famous East Side Gallery and Alexander Platz to which there are only four stop with underground. The breakfast is plentful, and the staff is... More

This hotel is a no-frills establishment, but it's clean, the breakfast is richly continental, the staff is friendly, the location is in a good neighborhood, and the price is right. Cons: Be prepared to carry your luggage up or down steps as the elevator stops at landings between the bedroom floors. Sometimes the room cleaning personnel is less than consistent... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
