I've lived in Berlin for 14 years, so I don't often need a hotel here! - but my apartment block is under construction, and I desperately needed a quiet place to sleep and work for a few days. This studio-hotel was perfect: the staff were welcoming and efficient, upgrading me to a studio with a balcony. The room was stylish... More

A beautiful and welcoming hotel, located at the heart of Berlin, 5 minutes on tram from Alexander Platz tube station. we had a beautiful and cozy room that we didn't want to leave. The stuff was incredibly nice and breakfast was delicious. A big thumbs up.

We really liked the modern styling of the apartment and the communal areas, particularly the dining area. We'd certainly stay there again as it was reasonably priced and in a pretty good area. Only two complaints. You need to log into the wifi each time you want to use it which can be tedious. Also, there are Nespresso machines in... More

Rooms are fancy. Loby and breakfast area are nice. Staff is friendly. Good isolation for outside sounds. However; a orange juice is 2.50eur extra, sometimes not enough seating during breakfast, sometimes hot water was out. Rooms were very hot, also at night. We had a good time, but there is room to improve.

We love Berlin and visit on a regular basis and always stay in a different area to discover as much of this amazing city as we can. Our last stay was at the ibis styles in mitte and we really enjoyed the hotel and location and very nearly chose to stay there again but decided to try a different area.... More

The studios are great. very clean, quiet, great breakfast, nice stuff. The location is a bit far, but you have trains every where... WE loved the place very much! very recommended. also the price was fair.

First, the location is mediocre in my opinion. Having it been my first time to Berlin, I wasn't sure which area to stay in. It's a decent and safe neighborhood, but it's at the tail end of all the major sights. Its about a 10 minute walk to Alexanderplatz and about a 40-50 minute walk to Brandenburg gate and Potsdamer... Stayed at this hotel by myself for 10 days in August while I was taking a course at Berlin. Would highly recommend to anyone that are looking for somewhere that feels more like an apartment then hotel. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: 1) Nice location - it is located on the edge of Prenzlauer Berg. The surroundings is... More

The location is fine, the room is bright, roomy and really clean. Bed and linen are good too. But.. This kind of accomodation is something inbetween a hotel and a studio: there is a reception, but it closes at 9pm. We stayed 6 nights and changed the towels 2 times (OK), but they do not emptied the trash and we... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
