My young son and I stayed in one of their Mittel self catering apartments away from the main BnB. We were a bit over-whelmed with where to stay in the city with so many options but this was a very simple one bed apartment with huge Velux windows overlooking a neighbourhood park and we were pleased with the find. It's... More

Really well run cafe-rooms by friendly, helpful hosts. Great decor, warm welcome and an all-round cool spot to call home in chilly Berlin. Lovely cafe with stylish touches throughout the premises. Loved the bed linen and super-power shower. Would definitely go back. Thank you

We went in this place for 3 nights from 24th to 27th of Décember. The Linnen was closed but some beverages and fruits was nicely proposed for the stay.... Our bedroom had a lot of space and the hotel is quiet. The "owners" are very available and nice! They booked us a taxi for leaving even if they didn't work....... More

Unfortunately there was a mix-up in our cleaning schedule and it was during the Christmas break, so it was not easy to correct. We have compensated the guest with a discount for their troubles (they got to the review quicker than we invoiced them). In regards to the other cleaning, we do not have a typical housekeeping system as say... More

When looking for a good hotel in a good position at a good price you need look no further than the Hotel Linnen which is actually relatively unknown......yet! We stayed in one of the apartments in Grosse Hamburger Strasse and found it to be in an ideal spot. Walkable to the new centre at Potsdammerplatz and to many of the... More

Very cool location close to everything, basically in the middle of Berlin, but at the same time with a quiet view over park. Fully equipped apartment with everything a couple needs, and more. And not to forget communication with hotel owners, all the guys I spoke to were very nice and helpful, offering a parking card in a place where... More

Have just returned from a 5 day stay at Park 1 apartment, great location in East Berlin, with easy access to public transport esp the trams. Very quiet with views over a park, close to supermarket, great local bakers and tradition Germany bar selling food. Modern apartment that offer everything a couple could want

Great neighbourhood, lots of breakfast stops, bars, cafés, restaurants and boutique style shops. 20 min stroll to Rosenthaler Platz, a main shopping area near the historic Jewish sector. Room was an excellent size, extremely comfortable bed and huge bathroom with walk in shower. Little balcony gives a great view of the street below. Lovely characterful cafe below, all with unique... I chose this guesthouse basing on TripAdvisor excellent reviews. The location is perfect, not far from main attractions. Metro station is 3 minutes walk from guesthouse. Interior design is very good, there is spacious and comfortable bed, good quality linnen beding, thick cover for cold berlin nights. Bathroom is spacious, with bath tub and a massive sink. CONS: Noise from... More

We stayed at the Linnen for 5 nights while we moved our daughter to Berlin to attend university there. It was probably one of the most pleasant hotel we have ever been and we have traveled all over the world. The hotel is tastefully and beautifully decorated; it is aesthetically pleasing to the eyes with color and shape. The proprietors... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
