Great value for money, we booked this for just over 40 euro a night. I can say is that its very clean spacious hotel with great views from the windows if you get a street room. My only gripe is the parking situation. I know its not the hotels fault but parking is an absolute nightmare. Also the member of... More

All one need hotel for leisure or business in Berlin. Nice and spacious rooms with view to the courtyard or quiet Linienstrasse, equipped with comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. The hotel is located in the heart of one of Berlin's gallery quarters, surrounded by fancy bars and restaurants.

We had a fantastic vacation in Berlin and our stay at Calma really added to this. The area is really calm (!) and quiet though it's very close to the city centre and not far from anything you want to visit during a shorter stay in Berlin. The facilities are of very high standard and our 4-bed room was both... More

Had a great four night stay at Calma. The continental breakfast is awesome😊😎 Very quiet during night hours too. Close to U, S and Tram bahns. The close vicinity to several good dinner places is an additional plus. Shopping locations are reached with a nice stroll through the cozy streets of Linienstrasse and Auguststrasse.

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The room and bathroom were extremely spacious compared to other places we stayed in Europe. The beds were very comfy, bathrooms clean, and we were serviced well. It is also very close to U-Bahn (subway) and trams.. 3 min walk. Plus plenty of places to eat around the area, one Kebab shop which never... More

I stayed at this hotel for four nights with my wife and our two teenage boys in a "lifestyle plus" room on the 1st floor. The style seems to be "squared white/gray" which at first glance looks a bit weird, but we quickly got used to it and the style is used consistently in the rooms, the lobby and the... More

We stayed one week at the Calma Berlin Mitte. It's a small hotel very well located. Staff is helpful and friendly, prices very reasonable. Rooms are big and bed comfy. What I liked the most was the breakfast and the atmosphere in the little restaurant. I recommend this hotel for its medium-range price, location and comfort.

This is a limited service hotel and is good value for money. The rooms are massive compared to the other places we stayed at during our travels in Europe. Comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, spacious rooms. walking distance to the trams and subway - very easy to access tourist sites. There is a really good 24hour kebab shop just around the... More

Clean, part of the rooms are renovated, big rooms, very good location, good breakfast. The inner rooms are quiet. Close to all kind of public transportation and restaurants. Friendly desk etc. Would certainly recommend to my friends.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
