I was really surprised at the quality of this place considering i booked last minute and it was so cheap. It was clean, warm and inviting. The staff vary in friendliness but are mostly nice. What i didn't appreciate was the lack of kitchen, it made it feel less like a hostel and more like a bnb (two stove hobs... More

This hostel is very basic and a decent place to stay. The bathrooms are in the hallways, but it was generally clean. Wifi works okay in the lounge area, but not too well in the bedrooms. There is a S-Bahn and U-Bahn stop conveniently located across the street. The Italian Restaurant next door (Focaccino) is delicious. :)

For my entire stay (4 nights), never saw a cleaner in our room at all.... our room we stay is mixed dorm with smelly feet, quite gross!!! i work in hotel and this hostel needs a proper cleaning / hygiene. There's 1 thing this hostel have the advantage the metro station 100 meters away ( Berlin - Charlottenburg Station.

I've stayed at this hostel by 2 days and it was very nice, friendly, clean up, calm, good service and acessible (there is a station near of the hostel). If you want to save money and stay in a hostel of quality, I really advise it for you!!

Stayed in a single room with bathroom. Very clean and had everything you could need. Breakfast option excellent value. Very close to VOR station with multiple transport options to the central city tourist attractions and also walkable to Tiergarten and Kursdam. Lots of eateries nearby and in close proximity. Need only to be aware that there are no lifts so... More

This is after all a private room in a hostel and I knew what to expect - but the general experience was better than the usual hostels. Very clean, modest space but maximized, excellent bath and toilet facility plus towels and soap. Free wifi which made them a winner in my book. Even had a desk and chair which would... More

This hostel has the strictest rules I've experienced during the course of my travel. My guess is that it was not first designed to be a hostel but a hotel and then they added some hostel dorms. When it was around 9-10 pm, people came back and started cooking, there was always lack of cookingwares and stoves. And we were... More

Very, very affordable hostel that offers great value for money. Close (15 min walk) to the Berlin ZOB station, and just across the street from the S bahn station, so very well connected (15 min ride to downtown, Kreuzberg or 10min to Charlottenburg castle). Spacious rooms, towel provided and a very large kitchen/common room area. All in all helpful, but... More

I read the good reviews before choosing this place for a stay. It was a bad choice. While no dirtier than your average hostel- the showers sucked. I mean this is Germany - where is the shower pressure (and this is when the shower worked which wasn't a 100%). No power outlets next to the bunk- again, how did this... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
