Ideal for shorter visits. Rooms are on the small side but well appointed with all the expected facilities. Clean and trendy furnishings make this a comfortable stay. A good shower helps to! Wifi is good, so ideal to work from. The Ubahn is just 2mins away so good for getting around and there's some decent restaurants up the road. Staff... More

We have stayed in a few Motel One's now and you cannot fault them on quality and service for the price you pay. They are the same wherever you stay so you know exactly what you're getting. Perfect for a city break, rooms have basic facilities, down to a hairdryer. No tea and coffee making but not an issue for... More

Good located motel and very tasty breakfast. Service is good, rooms are compact and bed is nice. I like it, it was worth of every penny! :) All in all very nice, trendy, clean and beautiful atmosphere.

I was there for a week. The room is quite small but nice, well heated and with a big shower. No frigo. Breakfast is good but not perfect. The bed is big and comfortable, and there is no noise or disturb during the night.

This Chain play the design card, but if you have a closer look - hmm - small rooms, poor breakfast quality - expensive bar no beer on tap - personal is ok - check in takes some time - bus and subway station in front of the hotel, but you can find cheaper and better ones from other chains around... Dear Philip, Thank's four your feedback. Motel One is a product of the budget hotel industry, we are well aware that the room size and facilities fairly basic but is nevertheless designed high quality, because only then we can pass on our low prices to our guests. Around the corner from the hotel you can find a lot of bars... More

I was a participant at an academic conference in Berlin (Falling Walls) and all my expenses pertaining to the stay in this hotel were covered by the conference organizers, so my assessment regarding the value for money is unlikely to be accurate, but I think that Motel One Berlin Mitte is not a budget hotel and could be deemed relatively... My 8th Motel One. This is obviously not a purpose built one but still good. Fantastic location especially for Kreuzberg. The room was good, as usual although the sink was in the bedroom area? A couple of negatives, the bar staff at night seemed more interested in their friend, siting at the bar than the customer. Most unusual for Motel... More

Dear Guest we would like to thank you for your feedback. The Motel One Berlin-Mitte is a Motel One of the 1st generation, which was the last time you completely renovated in 2012. As part of the renovation measure was no way the bathroom sink integrated in the bathroom. Our bar staff, we again sensitized. Lots of greetings from the... More

When I am traveling for business, I am using this chain often. Quality is mostly good. This one seems to be one of the older hotels, okay. Entering into the parking difficult and not that nice neighbourhood... So perhaps chose another one of the chain if you are going to Berlin.

Really liked the room. It was small but It was only for sleeping. Bed was comfortable and everything was really clean and looked new. Hotelstaff was really friendly and the location was just around the area where I had to work. Only minor point that there was no minibar in the room.

This is a nice and clean budget hotel located few blocks of Alexanderplatz. If I need to stay in Germany for a single night I always stay at Motel Ones and never got disappointed. I like the price and quality ratio.

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
