Hotel is very walkable from Alexanderplatz (maybe 5 minutes at most). Check in was quick and efficient; room was ready even though I checked in early, some 9:30 am. Spacious room and enormous shower with lots of hot water. Windows are sound proofed but can be opened for fresh air. In-room safe and lots of storage, even in bath. 3-4... More

Berlin is a big city and does not have one particular city center so booking a hotel can be tricky. Depending on what plans you have for your holiday in Berlin, hotel locations can vary accordingly. We stuck to the more tourist popular area "Mitte" as we wanted close proximity to the train (s line), subway (U line) and the... More

The hotel is an easy 2-5 minute walk from Alexanderplatz, so you are well situated to get anywhere in the city. Check-in was fast and efficient, and my room was ready even though I checked in at 9:30 am. Rooms are nice and modern with sound proofed windows (that can be opened if you want fresh air), comfortable beds, spacious... More

This Hotel is perfectly located but everything else is just an average. If you are looking for a real "Holiday Inn" standard, look for another hotel. This one lost its glance. From terribly long check in process (up to 1 hour!!!), through not proven information given to the guests, missing smile and willingness of the staff, to old rooms and... More

My wife and I stayed in this hotel last weekend for four nights, we can't have enough praise for the excellent and friendly service we received. Hotel is situated close to bars, restaurants and shops. It's rooms are spacious and very clean.Couldn't fault selection of breakfast food, altogether a great package.

Great rooms, fair prices and good service. What else can one ask for? Maybe the internet being slow, but then again it is in Germany, where internet is demented everywhere. The hotel has easy public transportation all around, great restaurants and shops in the area.

Its the place to be - Alexanderplatz in the heart of Berlin from where all the major attractions are covered and all the famous tours start and shopping and food is a stones throw away. The hotel is one block out of the main square which is good to avoid the craziness. A nice beautiful quaint restaurant and styled lobby... More

Amazing location, room was very clean and confortable. Staff were always helpful (except in the breakfast area, where someone was very rude with me when I asked something). Anyway, if you're going to berlin and are looking for a good place and fair price, that's the hotel.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
