This was really a great hotel. Stayed by myself on business for a week in 2014, great staff and service. The location is not the best but it is also not bad, just a block or two walk to transit and great shops are not too far either. Modern and luxurious feel. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. A bit too expensive... More

I stayed here for one night towards my IHG mattress run. The location is ideal, you can take a train from central station to Alexanderplatz. Once you get out of the station, just across Alexanderplatz (the plaza), you will see the hotel. 5 minutes walk, I had a big suitcase, and it was alright. The tram, subway, train at Alexanderplatz... We went to the Berlin beer festival and used this hotel as a stop off point, I must compliment the hotel which not only let us check in early but gave us a room which overlooks the TV tower, although we didn't go up the tower I must strongly recommend it reading other peoples views and photo's. The room itself... More

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Central location - a few minutes walk from Alexanderplatz subway, train and tram services, which can take you all around Berlin, Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, a lot of choice and variety. Rooms were spotless and spacious, and despite being in such a central area, it was nice and... More

Our four night stay at this Holiday Inn was probably the best short European break that we have had. (Certainly the best Holiday Inn). It was our first trip to Berlin and booking-in was easy, the wifi, breakfasts, and information about the city was provided by the staff without any prompting. The room was spotless and well appointed, with a... More

We stayed in the holiday inn Alexanderplatz for 4 nights. The location is very good, the public transportation is right outside of the hotel, train, tram, metro so it's very easy to get everywhere in the city. The hotel is only open for two years so the room are very neat and clean, I loved the modern look of the... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for a recent trip to Berlin to celebrate New Years Eve. The first thing I noticed was how pleasant, accommodating and helpful the staff were. We enquired about a local restaurant that had been recommended to us (Escados steak house - make sure to visit if you have time) and they immediately... More

we stayed in this hotel, me, my wife and out two boys. The hotel is ok, rooms are good. The size of the room is ok, Germany standards. The breakfast is very good. The hotel is located very close to Alexanderplatz and HB Munchen at Berlin. Most of the sightseeing tours begins at Alexanderplatz. The staff is attempting. We recommend.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
