Stayed here for 2 nights in January 2015. The room size is great. The beds were extremely comfy and the view was quite good too. It's about a 10 minute walk to the nearest tube station and shopping centre. There's a local shop just around the corner which sells drinks, snacks etc. The breakfast was amazing! The staff were really... More

Hotel is very close to all public transport. The hotel, itself, is very clean with very friendly reception staff. Buffet breakfast was included in our package and was substantial. First day it was served in adjoining hotel and last 2 days was back in Holiday Inn. Second day hot food was cold but otherwise everything was lovely. Set us up... More

Good hotel with an amazing location!! Centre of EVERYTHING, good access to Train,Trams, bus and walking distance. Hotel is clean, tidy and very quiet (from the past review, my and my mrs requested top floor and we got given a room on 8th floor). They allowed us to check in early which was kind of them and very friendly welcome... More

my wife and I have just returned from this hotel and we had a great time. Our room was on the Tenth floor facing the court yard and was immaculate, very quiet and modern. The rooms are quite small but enough room for a city break, The only two moans I would have about the room were that the glass... More

the hotel is in a very good location at the center of Berlin. The room are very clean, the breakfast is excellent and the staff is very kind. The only problem was that we wait until 16:00 when we check in because the room wasn't ready.

I stayed here for a couple of days in the last week of January. It was good. My room was very small though, and I did not have quite a choice because I arrived at about 10 am so I had to take the next available room since cleaning was still going on. The breakfast is good German breakfast :... More

This was really a great hotel. Stayed by myself on business for a week in 2014, great staff and service. The location is not the best but it is also not bad, just a block or two walk to transit and great shops are not too far either. Modern and luxurious feel. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. A bit too expensive... More

I stayed here for one night towards my IHG mattress run. The location is ideal, you can take a train from central station to Alexanderplatz. Once you get out of the station, just across Alexanderplatz (the plaza), you will see the hotel. 5 minutes walk, I had a big suitcase, and it was alright. The tram, subway, train at Alexanderplatz... We went to the Berlin beer festival and used this hotel as a stop off point, I must compliment the hotel which not only let us check in early but gave us a room which overlooks the TV tower, although we didn't go up the tower I must strongly recommend it reading other peoples views and photo's. The room itself... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
