If you are someone so serious, dont like to chill - this is prolly not the best place for you. this is for cool people who wants to enjoy a cool place in a cool city. My friend and I stayed here for 2 nights. The staff who welcomed us is really friendly (well most of them are). We slept... More

Our stay was good but not exceptional- it is only a hostel after all. We shared a 4 bedroom no bathroom room with a very smelly guest. The beds were comfy and the showers and hallways were kept exceptionally clean. We stayed on the 2nd floor and there was a constant smell of bad sewerage or something nasty, this was... More

Nice hostel. Stayed in single room and used common bath. Clean room, warm blankets, quiet even on 2nd floor above street. Good price worth the extra $ to have single room which is still at 1/2 price of budget hotels. Good restaurant and bar and free breakfast. U Bahn 50 feet from front door. 100% recommended

I came here with two other friends for five days. We were dubious at staying in a hostel but WOW!! We arrived and it was a friendly and awesome place to be (we even stayed in the downstairs bar for two of our four nights over Hallowe'en). It's so close to the main shopping square of Alexanderplatz, plus there's a... More

A friend and I stayed for 3 nights at St Christopher's Inn in an 8 bed dormitory. The hostel is over 3 floors, the bottom floor is Belushi's bar which is where reception is located and where breakfast is served each morning. First and second floor have all the dorms and rooms on as well as the bathrooms and toilets.... More

Close to the subway, like literally 20 steps, great breakfast, friendly staff, you can leave your luggage and run out the hostel to keep exploring Berlin without be afraid to leave your stuff in the tinny luggage area!!! Be sure that at night you can stay at the receptions/bar to drink a beer. The share bathroom area is clean and... More

This place is great regardless of the size of group you're travelling with. I caters for large groups in dorms, and couples in private rooms. Right on a U-Bahn line and within walking distance of Alexanderplatz, this hostel is perfectly located for East Berlin.

Overall: While located above a bar there was no noise pollution, so it was a quiet sleep. The location was good, it was among the bustling Mitte district. Breakfast served in the bar. The rooms were aged and the lockers were too small to fit our suitcases. Some Details: -Paid $51/night, check-in at the bar. -Stayed in a 4-person dorm,... More

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst travelling. The belushis bar as always was lively and great fun. There are a lot of teenagers and young adults which for me being of similar age was great. Unlike other reviewers I didnt struggle with the noise I could not hear it from my room which was first floor. The staff are friendly... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
