Great bar downstairs with discounts if you stay at the hostel. Good to meet people! Rooms are great! They have curtains for each bed. Toilets are good. St Christopher's hostels are always a good option!

Great hostel, the only bad thing are some of the showers (some time hot and cold water) but the best is the bar, great food and excellent prices. Wi fi in the rooms, I think is a great place to stay and is close to Alexander platz and the metro

We had a good stay here. Although it's big and the bar downstairs can get noisy, the noise in the rooms is often not heard. The beds are nice, they have chargers and even curtains, which is really luxurious for a hostel. Also: the bar gives some discounts on beer if you stay there, and they serve breakfast and dinner... The stay at st Christoper's inn was a lot better than expected. We had an apartment which was clean and quiet, the room was huge. But the highlight of this place is the bar tenders. I have no idea what their names were but the guy in the glasses always remember my order, which was helpful and the Australian guy... More

The stay at St. Christopher's Inn is perhaps the highlight of my 7 day trip to Berlin. To be honest, I had reservations about staying in a six bed dormitory and to make matters worse, I had already read a few reviews about the place being too loud and noisy. Well, the Belushi sports bar downstairs does get packed and... More

Great place to venture for a good night in Berlin! Electric atmosphere, efficient service from the bar staff and look out for Captain Jason and Captain Gigs behind the bar! Really awesome guys! The location is very convenient as the Rosa Luxembourg Platz Station is just outside and so you can travel to other important destinations quickly. Overall, a satisfying... More

My bus from London arrived so early and as expected I was told unable to check-in until 2pm. When I got back at 2pm they said they were still getting people out of bed and cleaning the rooms. The room was clean, unfortunately some of the people who stayed with me were not and so the room smelt most of... More

Great place to stay in Berlin. Nice and clean hostel. It's cheap and the rooms are awesome. The staff it's a little bit short-spoken but they are quite efficient. The bar is very cool and the guests also. You can drink and eat there, and the location is very close to every important place in the city. I like the... More

great hostel, friendly staff , good atmosphere at night and highly recommend the pod beds close your curtain and you've got your own mini room :) great location. Literally at the front door is rosa Luxemburg platz which is one stop to Alexanderplatz. Good discount on food for hostel stayers and food overall is pretty dang tasty. Also note wifi... More

St Christophers Inn is a fantastic hostel. It is located directly outside a tube station on the U2 line which is one of the central lines. The bar has great deals and guests also get 25% off. We stayed in an 8 bed dorm and it was perfectly clean. Each bed has curtains and a light above you. Showers are... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
