This was one of the highlights of Berlin and the best hostel we stayed in over our 2 month trip. Had the most amazing food downstairs and the prices of the food and drink was insanely trip even before they give you the discount for staying there! Try the blue cheese burger! 6 Euro for 3 yagga boms! And to... More

I arrived late at night from a train so when I saw the front of the hostel I was a little worried that id never be able to sleep! Luckily, I was wrong and the hostel is a distance from the bar that it didn't even impact me! Rooms were very nice and and the staff was very friendly.

Great location (the underground station entrance is 3 meters from their door); fantastic atmosphere in the main pub attached; friendly and helpful staff; amazingly quiet rooms for a “party-hard” part of town; spotless! My two sons and I stayed in one of the “apartments” on the fourth floor – high above the noise and hubbub, which was great. In these... More

I visit Berlin a few times a year and alway stay here. Nowadays i stay in the private apartments which have great internet connection and comfy beds. Main reason i stay here is the bar and facilities. Friendly staff, great food and best place to watch sport.

Staff were fantastic especially Gemma (from England) so super helpful. Clean and tidy although rooms and hallways very sterile and in need of a good paint. Pillows were terrible. Food and drinks very cheap, good location, free breakfast and wifi. Breakfast was great and staff looked after us due to 7am departure. New showers/bathrooms being put in. Was noisy one... More

This was my third time in Berlin, third different hostel. By FAR the best one! Got here early on the first day so we couldn't check in yet, just sat and drank at the bar at the hostel. Met the bartenders Jen and Cheryl and they were the coolest people ever. Jen ended up showing us some awesome spots in... More

I went with 9 others and we shared a 10 bed dorm and it was incredibly clean and spacious. We got to our room quickly and without fuss. The showers were delightful and the atmosphere lively, it was overall a perfect location for interrailers. We only stayed one night yet it was easily the best night of Berlin for us,... More

I stayed here for three nights and I felt really comfortable in the 6 bed dorm. It had a fully equipped kitchen, a lounge and the shower was great too. The bar downstairs gets pretty busy, but I couldn't hear much from our room. They offer a decent breakfast and the lobby is also the pickup point for the free... More

Big bar area with plenty of seating and offers for guests. Hostel area was fairly separate from the bar so wasn't noisy or disruptive. Staff were very helpful and polite and they allowed us to check in early. We stayed in a 16 bed dorm, but regardless of this it was relatively quiet and curtains across the bunkbeds allowed privacy.... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
