Everything was clean and well maintained. Location is very close to city center. Staff was helpful even when it was really busy. Their 6-bed dorms are very spacious, plenty of toilet facilities, etc. Common room wifi was pretty good. I recommend it to anyone going to Berlin, and I would definitely stay there again.

It was a very nice stay, that was easy to book, and easy to prolong when I had to stay a littler longer. The people were nice, and the Internet on the PCs at the bar was free. I would stay there again.

Great place to stay, in the city center close to Alexanderplatz and Reichstag building, with helpful staff, comfortable beds, clean showers. If you are coming to Berling by car, you can easily leave your car in the parking near hostel.

Location is very good, close to pretty much everything, so you can mostly walk and save the money for the bahn. Rooms are so clean and everythings seems like it's new. Staff is very friendly and always ready to help. Breakfast is reeally good and I love the pub too, it's nice to hang out there in the evening. Loved... More

For approx €10pppn, we can't complain about this place. Beds were comfy, hostel was clean, showers were hot, plenty of facilities and a tea/coffee set up for you to help yourself after a long day of sightseeing in Berlin. Wifi was temperamental, room was boiling hot and not the hostel's fault but we had the loudest snorer going! grrr! 2... More

I can't say friendly guests though... It was a bit boring for a solo traveler like me. But well, you can manage to go somewhere else to make friends, can't you? Walking distance to various sights which is the most important.

Second time I've stayed in the last six months. Travelled in a group of 6, were all impressed by how nice it was. Clean, great prices and the bar was an added bonus for us all! The staff were all very helpful and we were even able to keep our luggage in the lockers for hours after we checked out,... More

wifi in the common area downstairs. They said it would be in the rooms but it did not reach ours on the second floor. for a couple euros there's an all you can eat breakfast with a variety of choices- would have been better had it been included but it was reasonable. The lockers were kinda flimsy but they did... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
