We were welcomed very friendly and everything was explained to us! The rooms are spacious and there are lockers in the hallway. There are enough showers and toilets and all facilities are relatively clean. Eventhough we have only been there for a night, it was easy to get in contact with others. I would definitely come back!

Firstly, I'd like to mention that I am definitely not the most picky when it comes to service or cleanliness. If the bed creaks- fine. Spider webs- whatever. Cold showers- I'll live. What disappoints me is when staff is blatantly unfriendly, not helpful in bad situations and you're tricked into paying more; as was the case with this hostel. I... More

Location is perfect to experience Kreuzberg and Berlin (in front of a station of the main U-bahn) Smoking lounge good for relaxing at any time, day and night Staff nice and open to any need Bar convenient and well armed Price per night stay cheap Only one complaint: rooms too bright (no roll up blinds or curtains) all in all,... I went by myself and had no trouble finding people to talk to at all hours. Great bar and friendly staff. They have a pool table as well as everything else you can expect from a hostel (washing, advice about Berlin, comfy places to chill), and some things you wouldn't (expresso, snacks, DVD rentals). Highly recommended especially if you want... More

It's a big dorm, you can expect noise. It's an hostel, you can expect people checking in all night. It's so cheap, you can expect old noisy bunkbed There is music playing LOUD 24 hours a day yeah...that's it. On the plus side. Safe place. Close to the local attraction that are underground (I mean the anti pubcrawl and the... More

Only very good location, rest sucks: dirty place, uncomfortable beds, loud people, party every night, terrible smoking lobby, not enough bathrooms, weird stuff and quite expensive without breakfast. So definitely try to find better place.

Myself and 2 friends stayed here for the Berlin festival in September. We were looking for somewhere cheap and close to the festival and this was the best choice. We stayed in a 15 bed dorm. On the first night, one of the staff sold my friend's bed to another person so when we came back someone was in his... More

This hostel was great. It had everything we needed and was in an excellent location just opposite an S-Bahn train stop. This made it easy to reach from the airport and easy to explore the fantastic city that is Berlin! The hostel has an outdoor terrace from the kitchen which was an excellent place to socialize and meet other travelers. Kreuzberg... More

Stayed in a 16 bed mixed dorm for the first time of my life and it was awesome. The atmosphere of the hostel is amazing, people from all over the world, and the staff was very nice and gentle to me and my sister. Very cheap, very worthy. Lockers available.

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
