Located very near the metro station in Kreuzberg, this hostel made my Berlin experience perfect! Lots of nice cafes and pubs right around the corner, as well as grocery store Lidl. The people and the atmosphere in the hostel were very relaxed and nice, you'd always find somebody to go out with. The bathrooms and showers were super clean -... More

I would say this hostel is very good for meeting people especially if you are on your own. However the wifi was really weird as you had to get a different log in each and i couldn't get it to work on my phone so i ended up having to pay to use a computer. The staff seemed really nice... More

I stayed in a dorm room (with 8 beds) for 6 days, in the beginning of May. I had a lot of fun, I met a lot of nice people, I loved the living room and the bar. Everyone was friendly, the staff also: they had a lot of patience. Showers were clean, and there was a big mirror (+1)

I stayed at this hostel couple of times now and i will be going back there again for sure. It's located in a very good place and security of the place was great, It's close to the underground train station. The room i stayed in is for 7 people and it was clean and warm during winter time. I really... More

Me and two friends stayed here in a triple private room for the last 3 days. We stayed here because our friend lived near-by during a 3 month internship in Berlin and we came out to spend his last weekend in the city with him. We arrived to the hostel at 11 am and we were able to leave our... More

Got many good nights sleep, comfortable rooms. Big and roomy. Lockers were very spacious but they were located outside the room, meaning a lot of coming in and out ensued. Its worth paying a deposit each and getting a door key for each person if you're in a group. Half of the showers in the hostel had no hot water,... More

Stayed here with a group of 6 girls for four nights in Easter 2014, and would definitely consider coming back to stay here again. Hostel looks a bit dodgy from the outside, but is directly next to the Golitzer Bahnhof, in an excellent location. Staff were friendly, spoke very good English and gave us advice for places to visit on... More

We were recommended this place by a friend, so expected it to be nice. Sat right next door to Gorlizer Bahnhof station, it is very easy to find when you first arrive and to navigate back to in the early hours! Yet the security system, with cctv and ID cards makes it feel less like anyone could just stumble in... More

Amazing people/atmosphere, really friendly staff and super cool location. Cheap, there's a bar in the main social room or a quieter room if you want to chill. Kitchen is good. A bit hard to find at first, especially if you arrive in the dark but I always felt safe in and around the hostel, even as a woman travelling alone,... More

In this hostel, I had to deal with a sexual offender/ during the night (a penal act). He was sleeping in the bed next to me. Although it was so obvious a sexual delict, the management allowed this man to stay another night.

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
