I had an amazing vacation. Very clean and tidy, great location with convenient transport connections (metro and tram 1), and delicious coffee. The room was warm and cosy - simply great! Highly recommended!

This apartment space is very secure, clean, and and quiet. We enjoyed our stay here. This apartment is located in a great area of Mitte next to a grocery store (Ralphs) and pharmacy (rossman) and a bunch of great restaurants (Burgurie, Asteria and any Thai restaurant). There is a security code to get into the apartment so it is very... More

Really lovely place to stay. Very friendly, helpful service. They had to move me from one room to another due to it being fully booked but moved all my bags for me. Beautiful rooms, great location and fantastic coffee machine - what more could you want?

It is a quiet hotel, we only saw a staff when we arrive. Other times there is a speaker kind of thing on the door you just push the button to call someone. It's all about what you expect. There was no breakfast, no extra things to make you feel special. However, it is a very clean, quiet hotel which... More

Location was perfect. Quick walk from the train station, though I do recommend getting exact directions to hotel from station so you don't wander in the opposite direction, like I did. Trams pick up at the end of the block to get you where you need to go. Rooms were big, compared to other European hotels. I only stayed for... More

This small guesthouse is located in the centre of Prenzlauer Berg and is close to the tram and U-Bahn. The rooms are clean and most of them are quite large. Beds/matresses and furnitures are ok. No breakfast included but this should not be any problem. Here I must recommend Lieschen Müller (Schönhauser Allee 134A) which is about 200m far away.

This small guesthouse is in a great location. I had a large bedroom with a double bed, a small fridge and a huge bathroom. The room was clean. Breakfast is not included but it's easy to buy some muesli and yoghurt or milk and make your own breakfast every day. I arrived very late in the evening 11 PM and... More

Excellent location, huge bathroom with a tub, and the mini fridge was a nice thing to have. Checking out early was easy, we just left the keys in a hole in the wall. Once our glasses weren't washed, but that's about the only complaint I can think of.

Small guesthouse in the trendy neighbourhood of Prenzlauer Berg. Nice and clean room. Tiny fridge. Wifi and free coffee and tea facilities. You get the key to your room and the code to the front door. Supermarket 24/7 across the street. Quick access to Alexanderplatz with U-Bahn and tram. Lots of cheap restaurants and cafes.

The area (Prenzlauer Berg) is really nice and the hotel was quite comfortable. Even though breakfast is not included, you can have free coffee and tea. There's a U-Bahn stop 300 meters away from the guesthouse, and in the main street you can find supermarkets (open 24 hours per day during the week) and restaurants. Free Wi-Fi and a fridge... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
