I recently stayed in the Ritz Carlton on a business trip to Berlin. The room was very comfortable, lovely mattress to ensure a good nights sleep, breakfast couldn't have had a better selection and my glutenfree requirements were very well catered for. However, I was very surprised that there was no tea/coffee making machine in the room and when a... More

I went on a business trip to Berlin and was given the opportunity to stay at the Carlton. Needless to say the that I was looking forward to sleep in a fancy hotel. Reception staff was really nice and gave me the opportunity to brush my German which I really appreciated as they all speak really good English. The room... More

Received a multiple upgrade-awesome product and size. What really mattered was service: Nicky from guest relation went far beyond what could be expected from a luxury hotel- our kids were truly taken care of in an authentic way, ask her for Berlin's secret spots, she will definitely surprise you; Mrs Morgenstern and Lena took great and special care of us... We were taking a cruise on the Elbe River and decided to spend a few days in Berlin before joining the cruise group. Another couple traveling with us had stayed at this hotel in the past and suggested it. Of all the hotel stays I've had in the U.S. and Europe over the last 40 years, this stay was easily... More

We stayed at The Ritz for a few days on a business trip in a President's suite and it was marvellous. The whole suite was huge, bedroom, office room, living room and a small kitchen. Very enjoyed it. The room service food was not good, that's the only downside I can think about.

Went to Berlin for the Valentines Day weekend and everything was made perfect by the very attentive staff. This hotel is located in the downtown area, near all of the Government sites and its a great place to start a walking tour. We did at night time, and it was great. You must try the breakfast buffet and or the... More

Had an excellent check in experience, room was very nice, a bit overheated for my taste, but able to change that with the air conditioning control. Good location. Internet very fast (but pay). Bathroom was extremely nice, mine had the stone floors heated, in the main bathroom, plus in the toilet room, nice touch, much appreciated in February. Stayed in... More

Ritz is perfectly situated for taking part in the Berlinale. Lot of cinemas close to the hotel, and in walking distance. The service was good and the rooms spacious with large bathrooms. A good hotel to stay in.

Thus hotel has everything going for it, it's right in the centre of Potsmar Platz which is a very cool area in the centre of Berlin. So it's literally 2 minutes away from lots of bars, restaurants, cinema and number of other tourist stuff, also 3 mins from one of the Cities main stations so transport is great. As soon as you... Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
