After all the hooplah about Berlin, I had to see what my friends were talking about and see the Jewish history that is memorialized and remembered in Berlin. We arrived by train from Prague. The train station is an architectural icon, magnificent, modern, large, glass and steel. The hotel is just 10 minutes by train through a lovely park. At... More

We wouldn't have expected any less from the Ritz, but the service was truly above and beyond. Chocolates on the pillows at night, very kind service at check in and a wonderful concierge that is eager to help and make your trip great. Try to fit in a high tea at the tea lounge and definitely have a drink at... More

Lots of nice touches during our stay at The Ritz Berlin...Terry the doorman helped us arrange for bikes to see the city and was really friendly and considerate. the bar had great live piano music every night, and the room was quiet and large. Overall, an excellent stay.

The Ritz Carlton Organization should be very proud of it's Berlín hotel. This place radiantes luxury in every respect. Rooms are large, confortable, spotless, well lighted, and extremely well decorated. Staff is corteous and profesional. But the sherry on top of a wonderful travel experience was breakfast. Never, in many years of travelling, we have experinced such a wide choice... More

Having had the good fortune to have stayed at many very fine hotels around the world I wanted to share my recent experience at The Ritz Carlton Hotel Potsdamer Platz. Located in the heart of Berlin, The Ritz was my home away from home for four days. And "home" it quickly became. Today all the world's great hotels have to... More

My parents and I stayed for 4 nights at the Berlin Ritz and it was a wonderful, enchanting experience. The service was consistently impeccable, genuine and warm. The quality of breakfast and the room were excellent. Location was very convenient (right next to Potsdamer Platz S-bahn & U-bahn and 10-20 mins walking distance to all the main sights). Quite a... The hotel is spotless, and staff will try to make your stay feel at home, by taking care of any detail. Multi-language staffed, the hotel will make an effort that you are supported whenever you can by someone in your own language (restaurant, front desk). Location is not the best touristic location, but it is convenient enough and very connected... More

The overall experience was absolutely fantastic with no detail neglected. Staff were wonderful and the entire property was extremely clean and perfectly maintained. Rooms were very quiet, and the bed was superbly comfortable. The small things such as the postcards from management, the fruit upon arrival, the turndown service, and the overall service and friendliness from the entire staff were what... We stayed for four nights in a Bellevue Suite with bedroom, living room, and 1.5 baths. The room was extremely comfortable--in particular the mid-afternoon nap afforded post trans-Atlantic flight. The hotel serves as a great base to explore Berlin with Tiergarten and Potsdamer Platz less than 5 minute walks and Brandenburg Gate to the north and Checkpoint Charlie to the... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
