This classic Ritz (original dark wood and molding -- well maintained Ritz furnishings, fixtures, etc..) is located in walking dsitance to history, great shopping and memorable dining. The hospitality team throughout hotel aims to please and was earnest and prompt at evey turn. The hotel was very busy with a red carpet fashion show when we arrived, so coming and... More

Having business in Berlin, I needed a hotel I could check in to early after a redeye from the U.S. and be able to rest before a long week of appointments. Not only did they allow me extremely early check-in with no extra charge, they were friendly and helpful. I was able to sleep soundly in the perfectly appointed room.

Things I noticed: real wood in the library, beautiful trim work. The bed was great, the room temp and bedding worked well together. The bathroom was huge, very functional and well stocked. Good location. Wish they included breakfast in the price, but there are numerous cafes in walking distance. As our trip progressed through Prague and Budapest we were reminded... More

As soon as we walked into the doors we were welcomed by the most professional doormen and lovely gates and grand entrance. However, the booking was incorrect and it took 3 hours to fix that problem. The rooms had no free wifi(unexpected at the Ritz) and our door key kept getting disabled several times. This also took too long to... More

Berlin is one of the most interesting cities in the world. It is modern, friendly, well planned and with so many things to do. Ritz-Carlton Berlin possesses one of the best locations possible at this city: Postdamer Platz. Old town is very close, as Spree River, the Zoo, magnificent Branderburg Gate, and some subway stops away, Kunfusterdam. This city has... More

The hotel is centrally located by the Potsdammer Platz where there are lots of people and attractions. It is a newer area that was developed post Wall. It's touristy but it is a good central location. The Adlon Kempinski by the Brandenburg gate has the best location as does the Westin (although the hotel seemed a little worn down). Ritz... More

Whenever I travel, I either stay at boutique hotels or a Kampinsky but seeing the photos of this beautifully appointed place, decided to fork out some extra money. I was also excited to be staying at such a world famous place as had never stayed in a Ritz before. The placement is ideal- central and in Potsdamer Platz, with S... More

Wonderful facilities and tremendous service. The quality of the room was excellent providing everything for your needs. Everything is available for breakfast including omelettes and the quality was very good. A little on the expensive side but worth it for all this. The only downside was they charged for WIFI at 5.95 per hour and it is available free within... More

Great location, great rooms, great staff and a great bar. Only minor complaint would be about the cost of the wifi in todays day and age. But as the room rates are very reasonable for the quality it is only a minor grip!

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
