Berlin is one of the most interesting cities in the world. It is modern, friendly, well planned and with so many things to do. Ritz-Carlton Berlin possesses one of the best locations possible at this city: Postdamer Platz. Old town is very close, as Spree River, the Zoo, magnificent Branderburg Gate, and some subway stops away, Kunfusterdam. This city has... More

The hotel is centrally located by the Potsdammer Platz where there are lots of people and attractions. It is a newer area that was developed post Wall. It's touristy but it is a good central location. The Adlon Kempinski by the Brandenburg gate has the best location as does the Westin (although the hotel seemed a little worn down). Ritz... More

Whenever I travel, I either stay at boutique hotels or a Kampinsky but seeing the photos of this beautifully appointed place, decided to fork out some extra money. I was also excited to be staying at such a world famous place as had never stayed in a Ritz before. The placement is ideal- central and in Potsdamer Platz, with S... More

Come to Berlin with William and stayed at Ritz Carlton. Hmm. How to describe the hotel. You can image a happy journey . We all received smiles, pleasure service and welcome greetings from receptionist. the restaurant is very Classic with beautiful decoration. If you would like to have hot tea, there are many choices. We have a very late breakfast... More

Wonderful facilities and tremendous service. The quality of the room was excellent providing everything for your needs. Everything is available for breakfast including omelettes and the quality was very good. A little on the expensive side but worth it for all this. The only downside was they charged for WIFI at 5.95 per hour and it is available free within... More

Great location, great rooms, great staff and a great bar. Only minor complaint would be about the cost of the wifi in todays day and age. But as the room rates are very reasonable for the quality it is only a minor grip!

How lucky were to have this extraordinary stay at the RC. I cannot think of a better stay in a hotel that I have had. Service was stellar, the room was so beautiful and everything about being there radiated a gold standard. From the moment we checked in ( needed an early arrival time) and until we left(sadly too soon)... More

The best example of a hotel that just lives but of its name and no longer keeps neither a brand promise nor a quality promise. Tired, worn out, too expensive. there are far better alternatives to the Ritz Carlton by now...

We've stayed at a few Ritz-Carltons in the past and have always enjoyed it, but our experience last week has made us committed fans of the brand. We were originally staying at another hotel in another area of Berlin. One day we were exploring the Potsdamer Platz area and had read a couple of reviews for Fragrances; without realizing it... I stayed here for several nights while in Berlin for business. The location was excellent, I walked almost everywhere, and could easily take a bus or metro when I did not feel like walking. The rooms were nice, the service was excellent. What I liked most about the hotel was the breakfast restaurant. It was an imported French cafe, they... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
