We started our trip from Manchester to Berlin Schonefeld by Easy jet which was efficient and trouble free, on landing at Schonefeld we decided to buy two Berlin passes at a cost of 28 Euros each and these were valid for 72 hours. You then walk out of the terminal, along a covered walkway to the train platform. We caught... More

Beginning to end- great experience! This property is polished and sophisticated without feeling snotty. The doormen, concierge, front desk staff and bartenders all went out of their way to make the experience flawless. The rooms were spacious by European standards and the heated bathroom floors were a fabulous touch. The hotel is located in a central location, about 15 min... More

Perfect location, close to shopping. There was a lot going on and unfortunately the room we had faced the back with the windows facing the Marriott where the Prime Minister of Greece was staying so lots of media (over 100) plus all the security of flashing lights and all the other bravado for a few days straight and seeing sharp... I visited this Hotel many many times since its opening 2004. I never was disappointed. Service excellent, staff performance great, location amazing, food at desbrosses very good. Club lounge very private and you feel like in your own living room. Spa very nice. The best you can have in Berlin.

We just left the Berlin Ritz---its an average Ritz that definitely needs some service improvements. Here is what is good: 1) Great location in Potsdamer Platz 2) We had a nice room on the corner which was large with a living room area and a seperate bedroom. 3)Very friendly service in the Club Lounge What needs improvement: 1) When we... Even though I am a world traveler, this was my first visit to Berlin. I selected the Ritz for the location, the reputation and the Mix-Master, Arnd in the bar. Unfortunately, the web site did not state that Arnd only does his mixology classes during the summer! With that said, I thoroughly loved my stay here and sampled many of... More

Just got back from staying 2 nights at the Ritz Carlton Berlin. Loved everything about this hotel. The rooms were amazing, and the best of our trip to Germany. Bathroom floors had heated tile! Beds were large and comfortable. Everything was top notch. especially the staff and service that Ritz Carlton is known for. The location of this hotel can't... More

The property as would be expected from the stature of the brand. The staff are extremely courteous and always willing to help. The rooms were of high quality as would be expected. The location of the hotel is convenient for traveling to other parts of the city as well as the airport.

Came to Berlin which I love - the hotel was as well presented as expected and the staff very helpful. But you do expect to be spoilt a little! Wifi was free in the lounge but not in the rooms? Why??? Also the toiletries were cheap and harsh, I think in areas such as the bar they were understaffed -... More

This was a really top notch hotel to stay in. We had a few issues with the hire car (hubby crashed it) on the way so we were quite stressed when we arrived. It was such a comfort that they were so welcoming. We came for our honeymoon and were well and truly looked after. Nothing was too much trouble.... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
