Having read the reports on TA, I expected more from Agon Opera. Pros: centrally located, outside the hotel there is the bus stops and all buses go downtown, it's on the famous Kudamm with a lot of glamorous shops around. The breakfast was filling and there was quite a varilety, but there were shortages and the serving staff was not... more

wife, i & 3 teenagers had 3 notes here. Our rooms all a bit rundown - abouth 1970's country motel standard in Australia. Room clean tho and breakfast great. Good location, near underground but long way from main train station. This was part of a 5 wk europe trip for us and just as a comment, Berlin was the one... more

My husband and I stayed in the Agon Opera in March 09 for 3 nights as part of a long weekend in Berlin. The hotel is very basic and quite dated in appearance but extremely clean and comfortable. The beds were comfy and the shower was lovely and powerful. The location is in West Berlin, only a short bus ride... more

Rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, but could do with a lick of paint. Receptionists are extremely helpful and friendly. Great transport possibilities...busses and u-bahn on doorstep. Wonderful hot breakfast, served on rooftop level with stunning views of the Ku'dam. Got a good deal with Hotel-Club more

I loved loved loved this place. Usually my boyfriend and i go for much more traditional/oldfashioned styled hotels, but we really loved the contemporary modern simplistic decore, because although it was somwhat clean cut look it was verry cosy atmosphere because of the colours and materails used. The beds were insanely comfy, pillows typically german style, so pretty large and... more

Nice, clean hotel, near metro and bus station. Breakfast is very good and the breakfast room is on the 6th floor with view to the area. People at the reception are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is about half an hour far from the main attractions, but this isn't a problem as public transportation in Berlin works properly. more

This is the third hotel that I have used in this area in the last four months (Kima and Kurfurst the other two) and the Opera has been the best so far. I experienced none of the problems prior reviewers mentioned. Be aware that the hotel is situated on a major intersection that is BUSY even through the night though... more
