Well, it couldn't be better. Really. The place is close to Metro- that is first, good thing. But wait for the rest. Located in a picturesque tenement, it seems that lately decorated in a modern style. We got a huge room with comfy beds and decent bathroom. But the most awesome was breakfast. Healthy, fresh, delicious, diversed. Just great!

This hotel has a good situation if you like to stay away from the most busy tourist areas. The neighbourhood is lively and local, but not noisy. Public communications are good, with subways, trams and buses nearby. Friedrichshain is also crowded with all kind of restaurants with good food, and friendly guests. Rooms in the hotel are are basic but... More

This is the second time I have stayed here and still think it is a great little hotel in a really nice location - a quiet street that is moments from the underground, minutes from the city centre but also just round the corner from great local neighbourhood bars in Friedrichshain. The rooms a roomy and clean and the staff... More

This Hotel is between Ibis and Ibis Budget. So its a bit better then Budget but you get the Accor Standard. You can except modern design, rich breakfast, clean rooms. Location: The Hotel is not more then 5 minute walk away from the metro station. And without a map or GPS you can easily find it if you saw the... More

I stayed in this hotel many years ago and really enjoyed its ambience and situation - especially its closeness to Simon Dach Strasse. If it is still s good as it was I would highly recommend staying here

First night was great and I felt very happy. After this I had a noisy neighbour and found walls paper thin. It is a vibrant area with lots of clubs locally so not the best hotel for business. Breakfast good and staff were excellent. If only the guests were quieter!! Good luck with your neighbours....

I stayed here for 4 nights, wanting to be handy for, but not in, the centre of Berlin. This hotel certainly hits the mark for this being only a couple of minutes from the underground, but also only five minutes walk from some great bars and hangouts in the Friedrichshain area of Berlin. The room was large and comfy and... More

WE stayed at Ibis styles berlin city ost for 6 night and really enjoyed. Clean big room, simple but great breakfast, great location, friendly staff. It's 5 stop on the underground to Alexander plaz. From there you can do the museeum island and many other great Berlin attractions. East Berlin have so much more charm than Ku'damm area in the... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
