This hotel is as central as it gets in relation to Zoologischer Garten (one of many centers of Berlin), if you of course do not count in the brand new Waldorf Astoria and Swissotel which are in a totally different price range. The hotel is 5 min walk from Wittenbergplatz U-bahn station, which means that all the shopping areas, including... More

Artim Hotel boasts with a four star rating (underpinned by their official plaque outside the door). However, while the hotel may have the required amenities on paper (room service, minibar, suites, 24-hour reception, internet), in reality it's a disappointment for anyone who expects it. We had booked two rooms, one with a view of the garden and one with a... More

Went twice. First time - good room with supernice bathroom, second time - bad room, with weird layout. The breakfast is nothing to recommend really. Sure, a bit of this and that but the staff (two old weird ladies dressed in tights..) brings it down. Free wifi thou.

Stayed in the room at the end of the corridor (last door) and because of that we had no neighbors and room was very quiet. Sealing was 4m high (if not even more) and room itself was ultra-modern. A slightly dark inside, since window was not big and was at the edge and room itself was decorated with dark-brown wenge... More

Location is ok - not far from Ka De We and Wittenberg platz tube station (U bahn) - on a semi-residential street with low noise levels from the street. Several small restaurants on the same street (German, Italian, Indian and French). But then it is not satisfactory. A very, very slow elevator from 1983 even if the hotel itself seems... More

Me and my boyfriend went to this hotel in February 2015 for 3 nights and had a great time! The hotel is modern, central and the staff are very friendly. The bed was big and very comfortable. The room was cleaned to a very high standard and done everyday. The breakfast we had, which was included, was so good! Although... More

Hotel Artim is quaint and metropolitan at the same time. Located on a quiet street in Schoenberg, it is close to the Ku'dam shopping, convenient to public transit and many excellent neighborhood restaurants. Fully renovated a few years ago, the rooms are European modernism in design with very nice bathrooms and amenities including in-room safe, flat screen tv, direct dial... More

Only 2 negative bits about the hote: - I have to say about this hotel is its facade! The green paint outside does nothing to reflect the loveliness of this hotel. - the elevator is realllllllllllyyyyyy slow! however we stayed on the 1st floor so just used the stairs when needed My husband and I stayed for 3 nights (we... No complains since it is pretty modern. it is not a 5 star hotel, but I will consider it 3 star with a 4 star hotel. Very clean, quiet, good food, and perfect location. Big rooms. Nice bed. And no sound from the outside

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighborhood Profile
Schoneberg
In 1963, Schöneberg was the center of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the center of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
