This is a wonderful boutique hotel in Berlin, I traveled for New Year. Arrived on NY's Eve to the room being ready for me. It was spotlessly clean, well laid out, very attractive, the balcony was a nice surprise. The staff were extremely helpful with directions and advice. On NY's day they ran breakfast till noon, which was a nice... More

After a few days conference in Berlin at the Hotel Palace (truly lovely), I decamped to join friends for the weekend at the Artim. It is in a great location in the centre of one of Berlin's gay quarters but is not is a gay hotel. It has clean, minimalist, large rooms but it is let down by a lack... More

Visited Berlin this past week with friends to celebrate a Birthday. This hotel is well situated and has nice rooms. Breakfast Buffet is most generous. However, they lack some detail when it comes to Customer services. We had at least a couple of requests which were simply ignored. One women behind the desk seemed to resent any questions or requests.... More

The hotel is very nice, the room was not to small, it was very nice. There was lots to choose from at the breakfast, I would stay here again. We sat outdoor in the sun some of the days for drinks, there have good service. The hotel is close to K Mart and Kurfürstendamm.

The Atrim is in the heart of Berlin's gay quarter. Nothing about the hotel is specifically gay, however. The rooms are typically sized by American standards and large compared to the closets that European hotel rooms often are. The hotel is clean, modern and quiet. The temperature in each room is individually adjustable. It is close to the Wittenburgplats U-bahn,... More

Clean rooms. Hotel with good location to city center. Friendly ( good English speaking) staff. Very poor range of wines in the bar ( we tried a red one - actually they had only one type and that was really bad quality)

The hotel is an excellent "three" stars. It is in a very good location, next to all the public transports you need to explore Berlin. Rooms are quite basic, but they're clean, everything works well and we had no problems at all. The employees working at the reception and at the bar are nice and willing to help if you... More

Stayed here for a week. The hotel is nice and clean. Breakfast is okay. Friendly staff. Artim is located in the middle of Schönebergs gay district and close to Wittenbergplatz and KaDeWe. At Fuggerstraße and the nearest surroundings there's a lot of good restaurants - the street is laid back and the District is calm. It's a nice neighborhood to... More

This hotel is as central as it gets in relation to Zoologischer Garten (one of many centers of Berlin), if you of course do not count in the brand new Waldorf Astoria and Swissotel which are in a totally different price range. The hotel is 5 min walk from Wittenbergplatz U-bahn station, which means that all the shopping areas, including... More

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighborhood Profile
Schoneberg
In 1963, Schöneberg was the center of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the center of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
