went here with school, too many stairs and the lift is too slow. The bedrooms are plain but the beds are very comfortable. Staff are the worst they make no effort to help and are not very friendly especially the morning cooking staff, shouted at me for not clearing my plate in the bin properly? ALSO: MAIDS WENT THROUGH ARE... More

This is a very interesting budget hotel. It's in an old factory and very close to the subway and bus routes. Not too far away from attractions in Berlin, but not so close either. A bus or train ride are recommended, but we often walked to Potsdamer Platz. Good cold breakfast and friendly staff. I had a couple problems with... More

Great location, very near tram stop and perfect for just sleeping in. Great little italian down the road which i'd recommend going to. The people on the desk were very helpful with directing us to places. Free wifi everywhere which is a bonus. Slightly weary of giving our key back in as could ask at desk for anyones keep without... This is a great place for young travelers to stay. It was very clean and mildly comfortable, very close to public transit and some great restaurants and bars. The walls are very thin so you can basically hear everything, and there were A LOT of young teenagers and rowdy English rugby players who were extremely obnoxious throughout the night and... More

Myself and a colleague took 32 20 year old students here in March on a 4 day trip to Berlin. I have used the sister hotel the transit hotel before and so specified this place as I was pleasantly surprised last time. The staff are helpful and speak good English, the rooms are spacious airy and light, especially those on... More

I stayed at this hotel with a co-ed group of school students, on a trip. The hotel is very convenient; upon arrival, there was a lift to carry all the suitcases in, as well as a set of stairs (the hotel is located on the third floor). The staff gave us the room keys immediately, and it was a smooth... More

I took a group of 40 school girls here on a trip. It was well positioned with the tram just at the end of the road. The rooms are spacious and there weren't too many complaints from the kids! Clean and comfortable.

We stayed in this hotel in we absolutely enjoyed it. Brilliant service; great breakfast; the room was clean every day. The only minus was the internet connection - it was not working really good on the fifth floor and we had to go to the reception floor to connect.

I stayed this weekend in this hotel, and I must say that I absolutely enjoyed my stay. The room was clean (they cleaned it every day and did not intrude at all), the customer service was brilliant (available 24/7) and the hotel is located very close to the center (2 tram-stations away from Alexanderplatz). Great experience, I highly recommend!

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
