My friends and I had an amazing time here!!! We stayed for three days and everything was perfect - the rooms were spotless, everyone was so friendly and the receptionist Amy was so so helpful in helping us to find our way around Berlin and discover awesome, exciting things to do that we never would have known about otherwise!! Thanks... More

We spent 2 nights of our interrail journey here. When we arrived at the hostel the staff were friendly and helpful; we thought the hostel looked fantastic with a beautiful courtyard which was great for making friends. Our room was small and cramped with 2 bunk beds; and the underneath pull out drawers for lockers meant that only one person... More

The cooker, David, is just really nice but most importantly : he is a great cooker!! I mean the dishes I ate were delicious, didn't expect to see such a cooker in this kind of building. Thanks to him.

I was only at the hostel for short amount of time but it was one of the best I have been to. The bar staff was really great and friendly. The receptionist Amy was so helpful when I asked about things to do in the area and suggested really good places to go.

We arrived at Generator hostel after a long train journey in the evening. We had the directions provided by them and really struggled to find the hostel, which was the last thing we wanted. When we did see the hostel we entered through the back and couldn't even find the reception! When we did we queued for 30 mins to... More

I visited Berlin only for 3 days with two of my friends to basically drink and see some of the sights. We got to the hostel and straight away were greeted by polite staff. The room was exactly what we wanted and we didn't care sharing a shared bathroom. The bar staff were always friendly and very welcoming. Aidrian, one... More

Overall the Generator Hostel is nice, clean and friendly. The bedsheets were clean, as were the floors and generally everything else about the hostel. Onto some specifics: - The lockers were mostly alright, they looked a bit unsafe and (on one occasion) I hadn't realised it wasn't locked properly – but overall they did their job. - The staff who... I have traveled a lot and met so many different hotel staffs with different cultural heritages but this staff is very grumpy! With the exception of two lovely girls in the reception and the kitchen chef, you never see a smile on their faces, and not even a reply when greeted with a "good morning" or a "hello". The intention... More

We stayed here for three nights and it was a really great hostel with such a lively, friendly atmosphere. The staff were lovely, definitely the best staff out of all the hostels that I've stayed in.
