Compared to the boring Hamburg Generator Hostel this place is kicking. Mainly lots of teenage kids but they are on tour and have to be in bed while were out in Berlin. Wow what a place Berlin is and we only saw a fraction of it. Different ages stay here, i saw a couple in there late 60's come into... More

Not a great hostel. Enough if you want to sleep, that's it. Room had a weird smell, there were pizza boxes from previous resident below my bed, and the other residents were weird and diverse. Reception was bustling with people since you get wifi only at the reception. Overall, okay to sleep in for a cheap rate. Not a family... More

I recently travelled here as part of a large group. We were an older group of students and found ourselves to be some of, if not the oldest there; the place is crawling with kids who are always in reception - as this happens to be the only place that the wifi works. It was constantly noisy with kids running... More

This Hostel is well managed and should be on many School and academic institutions lists, because of the reasonable and steady room rates. Moreover, the rooms are bright and furnished with large individual lockers, and the beds have crisp white sheets for comfort. It is a situated in a reasonable good location, within 10 minutes to the Centre of Alexandra... More

Stayed here for two nights as part of a study trip to Berlin. Hands down one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Will definitely be returning. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Has it's own bar which has a great atmosphere and cocktails.

Location is good because you can rich the centre of Berlin just walking by the one street, rooms are cleaned, beds are amazingly comfortable (that's actually exactly what you need after the long day in Berlin). Showers are... ok. There is a cool bar, also there's a cafe, but menu is pretty poor... And the only thing i didn't like... More

Dear Guest. Thank you very much for your detailled feedback. It's nice to read that you've enjoyed your stay in our hostel even we don't offer wifi in the rooms. But I'm very delighted to tell you that we already assigned a company to replace all network cables by end of April so we're able to provide that kind of... More

This hostel is the best hostel I have stayed at so far while traveling around Europe and it just so happened to be one of the cheapest too. The hostel was not centrally located but it did not matter because it is "a stones throw" away from the subway station, literally. It was very easy to get to the center... More

the hostel is quite good,it is clean and the staff was at my disposal. the only problem was that one employee found my pronunciation of english strange and he gave me an underestimating look and he spoke to me boredly. also the lockers are expensive , i paid 4 euros for a medium size locker for 24 hours

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
