Stayed here for two nights as part of a study trip to Berlin. Hands down one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Will definitely be returning. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Has it's own bar which has a great atmosphere and cocktails.

Location is good because you can rich the centre of Berlin just walking by the one street, rooms are cleaned, beds are amazingly comfortable (that's actually exactly what you need after the long day in Berlin). Showers are... ok. There is a cool bar, also there's a cafe, but menu is pretty poor... And the only thing i didn't like... More

This hostel is the best hostel I have stayed at so far while traveling around Europe and it just so happened to be one of the cheapest too. The hostel was not centrally located but it did not matter because it is "a stones throw" away from the subway station, literally. It was very easy to get to the center... More

the hostel is quite good,it is clean and the staff was at my disposal. the only problem was that one employee found my pronunciation of english strange and he gave me an underestimating look and he spoke to me boredly. also the lockers are expensive , i paid 4 euros for a medium size locker for 24 hours

I stayed here solo Its good for - extremely goddamn cheap I paid like £3.50 a night for a 8 dorm , with this you can't be picky The dorms were clean ( unless like me you were sharing with Mr stinky cheese feet) though the floors were dusty so no dropping your clothes like I did :( The cleaning... Best part is i would say location, very close to metro line. Stay was cheap but food and beverages were not. Room was clean same with sheets n towels etc. One of the guy at front desk was very helpful he not only gave maps but associated info too. Recommended if you are traveling on budget.

The facilities were nice and very clean. However at 9 euro a night we had some interesting roommates to say the least. One spent 30 minutes scratching himself to sleep one night (def on some hardcore drugs) and then stole my towel the next morning. However, when we went to reception shaken and annoyed they were very helpful in sorting... More

Dear Kate, Many thanks for reviewing your stay with us. I'm sorry that you had this experience in the mixed dorms, it is indeed tricky for us to find the right mix and avoid these situations entirely but we do try hard to sort them out which you noticed. I do hope you will come and see us again soon.... More

Stayed for 4 nights. Had a terrible guest in our 8 bed room the 1st night but management quickly sorted that out. Staff were amazing and very helpful. Food and drink was very well priced. Relatively close to all the touristy parts of the City, only a short tram ride and surrounded by a number of excellent restaurants. Bathrooms/toilets were... More

All we wanted was some breakfast. I got some stale bread hard as a rock. The dinner lady wasn't nice or polite at all. The orange juice was also watered down. I ended having half a cup of orange water and one bite of stale bread toast for breakfast, I was absolutely appalled. Granted the rooms seemed relatively clean. However... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
