This hotel is much better than it looks from the outside. Clever contemporary design, a vegetarian restaurant serving an excellent breakfast (except the one morning we needed an early breakfast - they say it starts at 7am but I'd say more like 7:30am for the full buffet), excellent service, friendly staff, good bathrooms, quiet air-conditioning. But the walls are thin... More

Super place to stay while in Berlin. Short walk to trains. Lots of restaurants only a short walk away. Hotel is very clean and modern. Staff is also very helpful and friendly! Aunt Benny cafe is a ten minute wk away and a perfect spot for brunch! Would stay here again.

Very nice and cosy hotel. Very good place, good connection with the city. Our room had sauna and big balcony. Hotel has very nice vegetarian/vegan restaurant downstairs, we really enjoyed the food. One thing which was a little bit uncomfortable, that our room didn't have a kettle, so we couldn't make a tea of coffee. But I didn't try to... More

We enjoyed our four night stay in this hotel. If you love "DELICIOUS" organic food, spa and sauna with free Vivani Chocs every time you pass by the reception - this is the place to stay when you are in Berlin. The sheets and towels were changed everyday even though we didn't even ask them to. Love the kitchen and... More

5 minutes walk from Simon-Dach Strasse where many of the best bars in Friedrichshain are awaiting. The hotel was stylish and neat and there was a great variety of tasty vegetarian dishes for breakfast.

After a long overseas flight, I was able to get an early check-in. Located on the 4th floor with a small balcony, it’s still a bit noisy, but the large cozy bed made it easy to easy to catch up on sleep. Room design is stylish and spacious with all natural material. Loved the shower/bathroom – my own little spa.... More

Good points: great location, lots of bars/restaurants around. Not far from the train station - easy to get the train in from Berlin Schoenfeld airport. Friendly service. Clean room. Bad points: If you have a room opposite the lift, you'll suffer from noise from guests. View not great, looks like there is building work being carried out opposite the road... More

I have been here twice and I really would like to give this hotel 5 stars since I like the style of it and it's vegan friendly / sustainable. The hotel is new, the rooms are spacious, bright and very tidy and the decoration is modern and minimalistic. Bathrooms are clean and the shower is really nice. The spa in... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
