This is a small hotel in one of the better locations in Berlin (Museuminsel, bahnhof Friedrichstr, Die Spree etc). The service is great and the rooms are more than ok! If you choose this hotel, you want be disappointed. In average you pay 75€ pr night, ex breakfast, in this location you can´t do better.

Room C was huge, maybe too huge. I got a river view but with noise from the boats and the customers outside on the terraces below. Too expensive for what you get, especially the EUR 14.50 for the breakfast which was below average. Wifi was not working on arrival but I managed to get a connection from 10pm to around... More

I have been in the hotel several times. For the price < 100€/night this is a top hotel. It is located very central 5 min from Bahnhof Friedrichstrasse and I have slept very well! Peaople are really nice and the wellness program is good.

Its a great location in the heart of a lot. The interior of the hotel is very dated and worn. The Bali theme is over 20 years old and really lets the hotel down, its very garish. Walking up the stairs to your room is depressing, dirty carpet and bulb saving lights. The actual rooms are very large and spacious... More

This is a bargain. The location is Alfa omega! The price is more then perfect. It's clean, service is very nice. The only thing that's negative, in my eyes, is the breakfast. It's a bit simple, but ok. They have no room service, no minibar. But then again your location and price of the stay is more then good. I... More

Booked this hotel online for the first part of our Euro trip. Based on the pictures online on their website, we decided to go with the Luxus Suite, thinking it had a whirpool/jacuzzi in the room because that is what was reflected on the website. When we got there to check in and they took us to our room -... More

I've stayed in this hotel during ITB berlin, March'14. The room is lovely with heart shape bed head, romantic style net and gold color decor what I really love. Especially, I love the bath room, the bath tub, the bath room decoration with golden color. But as for the Buddhism of us, I feel sad to see their decoration at... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
