My husband & I have just returned from a 4 night stay & as a lot of other reviewers have said its a brillant location if we go back to berlin, we will stay in the same hotel. The room was big & very nice with a good size bathroom. The staff were courteous and helpful and it was useful... More

We arrived early and our room was ready. They had already made up the pull-out bed for my son. For a room with three people we only had two towels but that was quickly remedied by the front desk. We paid for the breakfast as part of our rate which was very convenient. Breakfast was great. Most everything was of... More

The hotel is in a superb location. Less than 5 min walk to the fabulous bars and restaurants of the Nikolaiviertel, and the Spittelmarkt U-bahn station is 2 min away. Rooms are comfortable with modern bathrooms. We had a room on the front of the hotel, providing a great view of the Dom and TV tower. However, the Leipzigerstraße is... More

Had a great time here. The family room we had was room 424. Clean, away from the lifts, nobody directly beside us. Breakfast was good, a huge range of hot and cold food. Kids cooked their own pancakes for breakfast! Lots of staff, all very helpful. Would recommend.

This great hotel has high standard and will be your base camp while visiting Berlin! You are two U-bahn stops from Alexander Platz where the world awaits you. The hotel is very affordable and you'd have to pay two or three times the amount for the same hotel in London or Manhattan. When we visit Berlin again, this will be... More

This hotel is situated on the Fisherinsel in Berlin near Museums, the new city castle, Alexanderplatz and Under den Linden. They serve a very good and a bit expensive breakfast buffet. One night we enjoyed a fantastic healthy "half maraton" buffet at a very reasonable price. The other nights we had dinner in Nikolajviertel nearby. Great rooms and bathrooms. Lots... More

This hotel is ideally located for seeing the sights in Berlin - some sights are within walking distance and there a multiple options for accessing the excellent public transport system close by. It's a newer property which is clean and welcoming, the rooms are well proportioned and nicely furnished. It is also very wheelchair friendly with a well-appointed accessible bathroom.... More

This is a Nice and modern hotel. Breakfast is very Nice and there is a lot of choice. Some rooms unfortunatly have no view at all, thats a minus for me. The room has everything u need. The shower is very Nice. There is good A-C , tv, minibar and a sleeping sofa in THE room

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
