We stayed in this hotel from 17th April to 20th April. Our rrom was 310. Check in was effortless. We arrived at about 1pm & our rooms were ready. Rooms were spotless. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was immaculate. Shower had great pressure. Only minor let down were the walls were very thin. Breakfast was delicious. There was ample variety of... More

We visited this hotel for a 2 day trade show at the station Berlin opposite. On arrival there was confusion about our boarding arrangements. I was supposed to be in the same room as my girlfriend but we had two "single" rooms. Single means a single bed. We didn't want to pay for an extra room and since they didn't... More

Stayed here for our recent short break in Berlin. Its location is very useful - you are within walking distance of many major sights (Potsdamer Platz, Checkpoint Charlie, Jewish Museum, Brandenburg Gate) and on the U2 line straight to the Zoo (from where you can get the 100 bus to Museum Island etc) and the Olympic Stadium. However, the immediate... More

Stayed here back in 2012 and really enjoyed my stay. So near to so many historical places in Berlin. Not a hotel for families but great for couples who may use it as a base to sightsee the city. The bar is quiet but what harm because there a many great nightspots only a short trip away. It's also next... More

The hotel is located in the city center, close to Potsdamer Platz. Also it is a good location for business travelers attending the ICC Exhibition Centre - direct connection (8 stations) with U-Bahn (U2) from Gleisdreieck to Kaiserdam station. The hotel is only 1-2 minute walking from U-Bahn (U1 and U2). Strengths: - city center location, very close to underground... More

The only why I would return to this hotel are the people working there. So friendly, like seeing some friends after a long time again when you enter at check-in at reception. They used my name all the time, handed my mail over. Great1 Also the barkeeper. Even just before he closed the bar I got my drink with a... More

Very good hotel, real close to city center, next to metro station. It's clean It's quiet (though it is close to u-bahn railways, very good soundproof) It's pretty comfortable if you wish to spend much time at hotel. Very good value for money.

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
