Just returned from a 3 night stay in this beautiful Berlin hotel. From arriving to leaving the service was first class The hotel is in a great local directly opposite the S & U Bahn, very close to the shopping centre, the sight seeing buses and Berlin Zoo. It was about a 20 minute car ride from Schoenfeld airport. The... More

Just returned from Berlin and stay at the waldorf astoria. We were there for 3 nights 12th 13th and 14th Jan 2015. What a fantastic hotel and staff. Hotel itself was for us in the perfect position for everything close to restaurants and entertainment and was really elegant. We had a room on the 11th floor with a panoramic view... More

From start to finish everything ran well. The staff was excellent. They were able to clear up reservation issue fast The location has many places nearby to get food or drink. S&U Bahn are just 200 feet away. Which makes getting around town easy

One of the best stays ever. What's not to like? Heated floor in the spacious beautifully lit bathroom, beautiful big bed, great view from the 11th floor, nice cocktails and piano music in the bar, terrific spa with great steam room, courteous staff, very good location. Next time we will get a room with a view of the zoo instead... More

Since the reunification, this part of Charlottenburg has been trying to reinvent itself as a luxury destination in Berlin. With the opening of the Waldorf Astoria Berlin, they are well on their way. It is everything and more that you would expect from a luxury hotel. Our room was beautifully laid out with a living area and wet bar. There... More

I had looked forward to the Waldorf in Berlin, as I really like their propertiy in Rome, and to a certain extent in New York, and as I still don't have a clear favorite in Berlin. Unfortunately, the Waldorf Berlin does not cut it for me, for various - very personal - reasons: a) terrible location right next to the... More

All the best from Berlin to Monaco. Thank you very much for rating us on Tripadvisor. Well, we undérstand that it all depends on the glass you look through. We enjoyed our stay at the Waldorf very much during XMAS 2014. The personel is nice and we even got dog bowls and toys for our two dogs. Prior to arriving in Berlin, we were debating between the Marriott, Grand Hyatt, and Intercontinental, and we are very happy that we selected the Waldorf. This hotel is very luxurious and located in a great spot (right near the S and U Zoologischer Garten subway stops). If you arrive by train into Berlin Hbf, it is only two or three... More

It is such a pity that a great hotel and the guest experience is marred by rip-off costs for Internet access of €25 for 24 hours. The experience is further undermined by the fact that this great hotel did not think it important enough to provide at least a few entertainment channels on their TV system in English (or any... Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
