Our family of 2 adults and 4 children (7, 11, 14, 15) rented a 3 bedroom apartment and were at once blown away by the service and size of the apartment. All the staff were amazing, practically doing somersaults to be of help to you...hence the name 'circus' perhaps? The apartment interior was decorated in a fun, eclectic style- even... More

The Circus apartments are a wonderful place to stay in Berlin. The team has done an amazing job of thinking of everything you’re likely to want and need, even if you would never expect it to be offered (e.g the printed directions of how to get to the airport that even included how much the fare should be). Our apartment... More

We rented a 1 bedroom apartment at the Circus for 3 nights after reading the rave reviews on Trip advisor - When we first arrived, we were a bit unsure if we were in the right place as the taxi dropped as off at a somewhat hip organic cafe. We were quick to realise the 'concierge' operated out of the... More

I am compelled to write my first review ever because my family was so impressed with the Circus Apartments. I had read all the glowing reviews before I booked but when I pulled up the location on Google Maps, I was a bit nervous about the artistic, but gritty surroundings. There was absolutely no need to be nervous. We always... More

We rented a huge one bedroom apartment at Circus Apartments for our week long stay with our two year old in Berlin for much less than many hotels (140 euros per night). The building was just renovated and the finishes are comparable with very expensive luxury apartments in NYC (where we live). It's in a convenient hip neighborhood close to... More

Our family group stayed in two apartments, a one-bed deluxe, and a two-bed. We are a family with two children (age 5 & 3), and grandparents. The apartments were very similar in layout and fittings, but staying on the second floor is probably more desirable than the first, though there weren't any issues. The apartments are very roomy, with comfortable... More

My wife and I stayed here for a week with our daughter who's not yet two years old, and it was great: friendly and helpful staff; stylish, well decorated, clean, equipped apartments with a large childrens playground less than five minutes walk away (take a left out the apartments then first left). Lots of relaxed restaurants and cafes nearby -... More

We stayed here with our young child and from the moment of booking, the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Everything we needed was made easy - we used the 'full fridge' service they offer and this made a huge difference to us arriving late in the afternoon, it totally removed the stress of arrival with a youngster.... Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
