Very good apartment hotel on the east part of Berlin, on the border between the Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg. Quite immediate neighborhood but close by to interesting central parts of east Berlin and by public transportation to all other parts of town. Apartments are roomy and well equipped and the service by the staff is excellent. There is no air-conditioning... More

We spent 5 nights staying in the 2 bed apartment with roof terrace, Gros, and we would highly recommend it. The apartment was spacious, clean and modern, with great views from the roof terrace. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful, both pre arrival and during our stay. The apartments are in a great, buzzy area, which... More

Spent a weekend at the Circus Apts. When making a booking, I knew it was a number 1 place to stay in Berlin. However, Circus Apts have made it way beyond my expectations. Apartments are spacious and very homey. There's also an iPad available to use for the guests. But what I really do care about when I stay somewhere... More

This is a great place to stay, the apartments are clean, spacious and very well presented. The location is spot on too, within walking distance of many hidden gems in East Berlin and access to S-Bahn and U-Bahn stations.

I was last at the Circus Apartments in April 2012 just after they opened. That visit was with my teenage son. In 2012 I gave the Circus Apartments 5 stars ++. I returned this month for three days R and R after a very busy 2 week work trip around Northern Europe. It was great to kick back and relax.... More

From the second you book the stay you understand that the personell at The Circus Apartments really care for your well-being. So service minded and so up for making you feel welcome. Combined with an absolute perfect appartment (we stayed at the 6-person Apartment called Huber) and supreme location, its a very good choice.

I knew from the reviews and prior stay at the Circus Hotel that the Apartments were a great choice. But when my friends and I got there we were shocked how great this place really was. For 4 guys the 2 bedroom deluxe was perfect. Huge bedrooms, bathrooms, living space kitchen, balcony and full roof access. Best location in Berlin.... More

We visited Berlin the last weekend of May. We booked a room at the Circus hotel but because of a overbooking they found us an accommodation in an apartement. Very nice apartement, good position, near to the subway station Rosenthalerstrasse. Recommended for visiting Berlin.

Even before we arrived the concierge at the Circus apartments had emailed me to confirm our arrival times and food requirements should we wish to have a BBQ along with out of hours check in should we arrive after 2300hrs. We arrived earlier than expected (1400hrs) and as our 4 person 2 bedroom deluxe apartment was not yet ready we... More

Perfect. Staff is great. The location good. The apartment is spacious and very equipped and decorated. So, why 4 stars? The beds were very uncomfortable for us. For such an expensive place, I would expect more.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
