My family of 4 (2 teenagers) stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment on the 1st floor. The apartment was clean and very comfortable. The main room had a sofa bed and a queen size bed and the bedroom had a double bed. Check-in was in a separate office to the apartment but through communication we were met by Magdelena and... More

I visited KG Apartment Berlin for a four day weekend trip with 7 people. We rented the 138 m2 apartment which had beds for 8 people, kitchen, livingroom and a big bathroom. The apartment also had a balcony. The apartment is nicely located near a tram station which takes you to Alexanderplaz in 5 minutes. There is a reseption in... More

Stayed here for 5 days in a sleeps 6 apartment. Although the street is currently undergoing redevelopment there was no noise from building work and it is in a very pretty area with interesting boutiques, artisan shops, nice cafes, bakeries and a couple of supermarkets. Getting there from Shoenefeld Airport is simple and cheap. Catch the S9 train at 3.20... More

We've been traveling for almost two weeks and the "real life" location and amenities of the KG apartments in Berlin was perfect for our needs. We had a 1 bedroom unit with additional sleeping accommodation for the kids that were comfortable. The kitchen allowed us the make our own breakfasts and a couple of dinners. The managers of the apartments... More

Easy to find apartment in a great location with family oriented neighborhood near public transport and easy walking to Berlin major sights. Very helpful and friendly office staff. We use their bicycle to go around and enjoy it very much at a price much lower than others. Restaurants around the area are good and value for money. We parked our... More

We stayed in no.25 in Nov 2013. We arrived after the arranged check in time and although our host had to hang around, there was no extra charge and he was very courteous. The apartment was spacious, quite bare as it had basic furnishings from IKEA, but very warm and clean, with all the necessary equipment (full cooker, washer dryer,... More

The apartments are close to Alexander Platz, but in a quite street with very little traffic noice. Plenty of small, informal restaurants, bars and small shops just around the corner. The apartment was roomy, clean and with a balcony. But very litle furniture. It would have been nice with a wardrobe in the combined 2. bedroom/lounge. Also a mirror in... More

We spent 5 days at KG Apartments and what a find. The apartment was massive and had everything you needed, washing machine, dishwasher, full kitchen, balcony, free wifi, dining room and lounge room. It was in a loverly neighborhood and a 5 min tram ride in Alexanderplatz. The apartment was huge and so comfortable. The manager Andrej was so nice... More

Delightful one week stay in this two bedroom apartment on the top floor of the building. Lift partway and easily manageable stairs the remainder. We were greeted warmly and shown all the amenities of the apartment. Nothing was too much trouble. Everything was provided, including washing machine powder! The apartment is in beautiful trendy Prenzlaberg. Small markets close by, cafes,... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
