Hotel Prens is perfect for a city break in Berlin. The location is excellent for transport to the centre of town, going to bars, walks in the Kreuzberg area. Room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was nice and we could take as much as we want, and eat outside in the courtyard in good weather. Th staff were helpful... More

The room they gave us was really small and the floor is fully covered by a stained fitted carpet. There isn't a fridge. The bath was clean but as I noticed I do think that the shower wasn't cleaned during our stay. This hotel is placed near Kottbusser Tor in Kreuzberg district, which is one of the poorest and unsafe... More

Peaceful hotel, good located, clean and nice! Nice, quiet patio view. Small, but good breakfast. We got everything we needed. Middle of lively Kreuzberg. Near bars, coffees and restaurants. Also easy to walk some sights. Really near U-bahn station. We would go again!

I set on the bed, and suddenly the door has been knocked and someone came into the room immediately, I hadn't the time to say come in or not although I was in the room :-o I opened the fridge and really it smells like there's a dead rat inside It was quite disgusting Beside the shower place was dirty,... I stayed here several times, each time for 4 nights, because of a seminar I attended in Kreuzberg. Because I was with a group and we expected multiple stays, we were able to bargain with the hotel management. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, pillows are a bit scanty. Having said that, if you need anything, the management will... More

This is a budget hotel in the trendy Kreuzberg area of town. My economy room was at the back of the hotel, as I had requested, and it was quiet. It was also clean, comfortable, and in very good condition. The staff were all very kind and helpful.

I'm giving this hotel three points, i.e., a normal rating. I could have given it a 4 or even a 5 if it weren't because of an unpleasant finding on entering the room. The stays at this hotel must be payed in advance so, before paying for the night, I asked to inspect the room. We went upstairs and the... More

Located at Kottbusser Dam it's just 5 stops into Alexanderplatz on the ubarn which when you exit left from the hotel is 1 minute up the road. Ticket machine on the platform which has many languages so that was easy as well. The hotel was great. Couple of things like coffee cups not changed and hair still on the bathroom... More

OK, obviously the main thing about Hotel Prens is the location. In the middle of ultra-hip "Kreuzkölln", surrounded by fantastic bars, great restaurants and located right on the beautiful Maybachufer on the river. Other than that: friendly 2-3 star standard, no complaints.

Staying in Neukolln

Neighborhood Profile
Neukolln
No Berlin neighborhood is more popular with the young and jet-set crowd than the old worker's district of Neukölln. With so many Turkish settled here, the area became known as "Little Istanbul." Today the percentage of foreigners is still high and visitors still frequent the Turkish shisha bars. In the daytime, they also visit the designer shops and sit by the canal in one of the street cafés up and down Westerstrasse or at Maybachufer, having a beer and waving to the sightseeing boats as they float by. But at night, Neukölln is dominated by increasingly young, alternative, and international crowds. This is particularly evident in the northern section of the district where there are many bars, funky clubs, galleries and restaurants. There, the night never seems to end.
