I slept in this hotel for 5 days in August. it's not very expensive, but the quality is low. The fitted carped and the curtains were threadbare. They forgot to clean my room! Internet was slow! Nearby there was nothing interesting and nothing open after 10 p.m. the U-Bhan is very near: you can go everywhere! When I'll come back... More

The hotel is centrally located and well-connected to public transit. Check-in and check-out were fast and convenient. For €60 per night I would have expected more as far as comfort is concerned. The room was dated and in need of repairs. The carpets were stained and the walls patched up. The bathroom was a bit grosse and could have used... More

My wife and I spent months planning a trip to Berlin. It was a homecoming of sorts that has been overdue for decades. This trip was very important to me for many reasons. We did our homework. We read alot of reviews on the Arcadia that could be seen as negative, and while I was witness to a few of... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay (the first night we were on the first floor and it was a little noisy from outside) We asked to move rooms and there was no problem at all and we moved to the 3rd floor.. The next afternoon The room was comfortable and there was a complimentary bottle of water on arrival We are... More

I had a very bad experience at Arcadia Hotel in Berlin. Positive points were : hotel cleanliness and the fact that it was close to the subway. Major negative points : totally uncomfortable beds (horrible) and bad customer service. Plus - upon arrival, I was informed that breakfast was included. When I checked out, I was given a bill for... Be careful! This hotel has no amenities nor services to speak of yet charges like a regular hotel. Really not value for your money. The breakfast offered only canned fruits, store-bought pastry and canned orange juices. No lunch or dinner available. No porter service. Wi fi only worked once. No room service. Not for the disabled!

OK...one star for being a very clean hotel and relatively friendly. But that's about the only good thing I can say about this place. Their internet was terrible...barely worked. In the bathroom, the shower head holders were broken or non-existent. The hotel claims to have a bar...but it was never staffed...and NO ice! A bar without ice?? When we tried... More

We stayed at this hotel as part of a large group and were told that it was rated four stars. Nothing could be further from the truth. This hotel should be listed as a slightly upscale hostel as there are minimal amenities and the staff were either unhelpful or hostile. Mohammad who worked in the dining area was outright rude... This is a good hotel to stay in near both the U and S bahn in Berlin. If you are coming from Schonefeld airport then get the S9 to Frankfurter Allee and it is less than 5 minutes down the street. The staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel was very good value as we got a great online... More

Kind and helpful staff, clean rooms. Great localization, very close to U-bahn station. Comfortable bed. Parking available for additional charge. Free WiFi is slow. Bathtub seemed to have drain problem and there was a little mold.

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
