Stayed with my friend at the Arcadia for two nights at the end of March and were pleasantly surprised with our experience. As we paid so little for our stay we were not expecting much however we felt the hotel was of a high standard for a budget stay. When we arrived we were greeted by a really friendly receptionist... We entered the hotel from the wrong way, through the "atrium" and it was a bit tricky to find (much easier from Voigtstrasse). Nice reception and the interiour was typical hotel style with thick carpets and neutral walls. The room was nice and the bathroom was light and spaceous. I prefer the vending machine in the hallway much more than... More

Taking part in the Berlin Marathon last september I arrived with my parents, auntie and uncle. Th hotel was in a decent location only a short walk away from the nearest train station 'Berlin Frankfurter-Allee plus there is supermarket nearby with a big department store and many little shops nearby. The hotel room that I stayed in was Ok but... More

well if you can't say something nice you can say 'its clean', which it is. If you want a queen size bed they advise you to move the twin beds together yourself. Additionally they have a vintage TV;) .... but anyway its cheap and I've choose it because it's a 3 min walk to my family, so all good for... More

I stayed at this hotel mid-July 2014 for 3 nights. We arrived at Berlin-Tegel airport, it was late so we took a taxi which was about 30 EUR for the trip. Staff was friendly and fluent in English. Rooms are basic but spacious, clean and with a decent bathroom. Breakfast was excellent and rather cheap. Why pick this hotel? Pricewise,... More

This hotel is adequate but not much more. We stayed as part of an escorted tour so I don't know the cost but not expensive, I guess. The room was a decent size and the beds were comfortable but the pillows were so thin as to be useless. We couldn't ask for extra pillows at reception in the morning as... More

situated near the metro, the hotel has a beautiful restaurant, the rooms are clean, quite with good space on it and the bathroom. The price is 2 times less expensive than the hotel at the Alexanderplatz.

Stayed here with my wife while we were traveling around Europe and this was a very clean, very comfortable hotel. We enjoyed the restaurant that was in the enclosure as we ate their several times. This hotel is in a great location in East Berlin and very close to public transportation. Hotel staff was great and room was always cleaned.... More

This is a hotel with good value for your money. It could use some renovation but otherwise there is not much to complain. The rooms are ok and equipped with what you need. Breakfast is also decent and most of the staff are really helpful and great (with one exception). If you only need a place to sleep then this... More

The hotel is situated in a quiet and safe area. The real selling point of this hotel is the location, well connected to Schoenefeld airport, by train (S-bahn) that from Shoenefeld arrives at the Frankfurter Allee station, just few minutes from the hotel. At 100 meters from the hotel there is a metro station (U-Bahn - Samariterstrasse) which is 5... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
