There is something charming about the Dittberner that keeps me coming back. I really love this little hotel. Enjoyed it so much I stayed there 2 times on trips with a friend and then brought my adult children and we stayed there when we made a trip to Berlin and then on to Prague. It's in a building off one... More

This hotel is like staying at your grandma's home for the weekend. It is quiet, very well located just beside Ku'dam and plenty of good restaurants all around. Price is OK. I stayed here for three days while running the berlin Marathon and was treated rather good. Frau Lange even prepared breakfast at 06:30 for the runners. I used a... More

Well located, few meters from the main shopping street. Great restaurant over the street. One block from bus stop that easily connects you to other public transport. The hotel is old and while reasonably maintained, our room carpet has not seen a deep clean in many years. Bathroom was compact. We had a drainage problem in the shower and after... More

This is a very interesting place to stay if you want to avoid big hotels and hotelchains. Pension Dittberner is very charmful: you feel like you stay in the home of some very nice german ladies. It is a huge flat in an old house at a small street (Wielandstrasse) very close to Kurfurstendamm. Perfect location - there is a... More

Very close to the Ku'damm and in a peaceful residential neighbourhood, this Pension is close to several bus routes, including route 109 from Tegel airport (get off at Adenauerplatz, it's about 5 minutes walk to the Pension). The pension is beautifully decorated with numerous art works. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Service was good throughout our 4-night stay,... More

We stayed 4 nights and were made very welcome by the owner who has run the hotel for decades. We had a huge room, breakfasts were good and the hotel is in a great location with excellent transportation close by. Quirky and arty !

This hotel was completely different from where we usually stay in that it was a small Pension located on the fourth floor of a multi-use building. The room was of a good size and nicely decorated with a lovely big bed; we wanted extra pillows and these were provided without any trouble. The room had a seating area and a... More

We stayed at the Hotel Pension Dittberner for 3 nights. We had 3 rooms for the 5 of us, two doubles and a single. The single was quite small but that wasn't a problem for us. Both doubles were roomy, and each room had a tiny television. Breakfast is served in a lovely dining room and is a nice variety... More

We loved the atmosphere! The hotel was like one of the sights on the trip. The breakfast was good and the breakfast room was awesome! The room was clean and spacious with large windows and a well-lighted bathroom. The elevator in the house was like a hundred years old - something one must definitely see!

Travel back to Alt Berlin at Frau Lange's beautiful pension. Service was great and the pension tastefully decorated with modern and classical art pieces. The rooms were large, warm and elegantly furnished. The beds comfy and the bathroom large. The pension is located just off Kurfensdamm Strasse in an upmarket part of West Berlin about a 12 minute walk to... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
