The room was clean and basic. The hotel itself is meant to be like that. Location is quite central; the U-Bahn station Nolendorfplatz is right near the hotel, which is very advantageous. Staff was just okay. Unfortunately, there is not any private parking and finding a place in the public parking may be tricky. Also, the wifi did not work... More

The location of this hotel is very close to the subway station, within 1 block and 2–minute walk. It is also close to a supermarket, several shops and restaurants. The neighborhood is very quiet. The staff members are very friendly and helpful. A little down was that since our room was facing the courtyard, the weather was kind of hot,... More

Rooms are clean and tidy; breakfast is a delicious and generous buffet, and the staff tries to be accommodating. The location is great - very close to a metro stop, a grocery store, and many restaurants. The price is quite reasonable. There is an elevator. However, my room was booked on my behalf for a work trip, and I wound... More

The hotel was very convenient, close walking distance to the U-Bahn stop. The neighborhood was actually quite quiet despite the bars and clubs nearby. The entrance to the hotel was well put-together, staffed by some wonderful and knowledgeable folks. There are several places for simple breakfast nearby if one chooses not to eat at the hotel (at extra cost). The... More

The hotel is at very good location. Just opposite a metro station but in a quiet neighbourhood. The rooms were clean as well as the rest of the hotel areas. Nice breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. I liked it very much for its category and price.

A weekend in Berlin, and i stayed again in hotel sachsenhof. Very cheap and spottless clean. Nice big room with Bath. Centraly located in schoneberg, walking distance from nollendorfplatz and in the middle of everything. You can rent a bike for only 10 euro.s a day. I can really recommend the place and for certain come back.

I enjoyed my staying and will come back in the future. The breakfast worth the extra money. The service in the dinning room was attentive. All the persons at the reception were friendly and helpful according to the needs.

I stayed here for a week and everything was wonderful. The best quality I like about this hotel is the value. The rooms are smaller than most other hotels in the area, but the cost per night is lower. Lots of bars in easy walking distance and U2 line is really close.

Very good value hotel, always cleaned well, staff friendly and in a good district. Lots of restaurants nearby. We picked it also because of its location to central train station. Would go back and throughly recommend.

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighborhood Profile
Schoneberg
In 1963, Schöneberg was the center of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the center of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
