The East Side Hotel is excellent for anyone that prefers hotels with personality and character. Friendly, helpful staff was very accommodating. The receptionist even made us french fries when we came in starving at 3 am. In addition, we were able to check in early (our flight arrived at 8:00 am) and we repeatedly locked our key in our room.... more

we arrived kinda late, and they had given away our reservation. but the staff put us up in another one of there hotels nearby, the gold hotel, and even paid for our cab fare. the gold hotel ended up being very nice. i'd say the staff at east side hotel was more than friendly. more

A great place to stay, 10 minutes walk from all forms of transport easy access to anywhere in Berlin. Hotel was clean and tidy, breakfast was good and the staff are very friendly. The only downside, the rooms had no tea/coffee facilities and no hairdryer! more

The rooms are clean and spacious with a nice big bathroom (with genuine bath!) and comfortable beds. Windows look out on the East-side Gallery (substantial reminder of the old Berlin wall) and the River Spree.
