We stayed here as a large group and had everything we needed - near a tube stop, super market, warm showers, comfy beds, enough sockets and decent wifi. It's a big hostel so don't expect the cute family feeling, but there is a nice courtyard outside to socialise in. The best asset was the staff who were all super helpful... More

Stayed here on a city break with two friends. This hostel is absolutely brilliant if you are after a cheap stay in Berlin- well located, friendly staff and offered everything we needed. Stayed in a 10 bed dorm which was absolutely fine. Only negative point is that I had my phone charger stolen from the dorm- but my mistake was... More

Dear Katya, First of all, we would like to thank you for your comments and we are very glad to hear that you had such a great time in our Hostel and enjoyed it. At the same time, we are sorry to hear that you lost your handy charger. Have you been at reception and asked our team about it?... More

I stayed at the hostel with my girlfriend for 3 nights and booked a double room. We ended up staying in a room with 2 bunk betts without the receptionists telling us. On the other hand the hostel keeps also didn't care that I rearranged the whole room. Not the most quiet hostel but centrally located to Friedrichshain. I would... More

I did stay in a dormitory room with my friends. The room was okay, I mean it s not the most fancy place in the world but very central, train station 1 min away by walking and perfect point for going out or reaching the interesting places which has to be seen in Berlin. We went to a famous Club called... More

We payd 32 euro per person per night (quite a lot for a shared room) with breakfast. The hostel is very big, and in my opinion well situated cause you have train and underground near it (in east Berlin). But, disadvantages are: - expensive - in three days nobody came to clean the room or bring toilet paper (disgusting), in... More

A friend and I spent 3 nights in the hostel for a long week end. We were in a 6-bed dormitory. While the prices are ok and the hostel is close to the cool Friedrichschain neighbourhood, nothing else positive can be said about the hostel. The toilets and showers are far from being clean (my friend found poo all over... More

We slept there for three nights. It's not so bad but I think that some precautions would have made it a better place. Anyway our permanence was good. The kitchen is not comfortable at all, but at least you can eat something in the hall. It's close the U-bahn station and you can reach easily many places if you like... More

The hostel is in a very comfortable position, relatively close to alexanderplatz and to fancy neighborhoods- like kreuzberg and freidrichscheine. The hostel is quite clean but the rooms, kitchen and living room are poor and squallid. The toilet in the 6 bed-rooms is particularly annoying. Nevertheless, the price is convinient and the overall conditions acceptable. Nice receptionists.

The hostel is in a comfortable area of Berlin, close to Kreuzberg and Friedrichschain. The price is good but rooms are quite dirty (the toilet very stinky) and the entrance of the hostel is very stinky, as well as the kitchen. The employees are very nice.

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
