This hotel is the cheapest I have found in Berlin and was a bit surprised how much it was worth it to book here. The room and sheets are quite clean , having the sheets at a perfect shade-less white colour. Nothing to complain from the toilets and showers , they serve there purpose and are clean , we personally... More

The staff was very friendly, the room&toilet clean (the latter a bit cold though). The building probably used to be a school as the inside looks like this. We had one unpleasant experience during the night - we came at 3am and there was just one bed left (someone sneaked in for free with a friend who paid for one... More

The hostel was OK. We stayed here with a study trip and not all of the rooms were that nice. Sometimes there were holes in the walls but besides that it was OK. The rooms were clean with but the bathrooms and showers smelled a bit weird. The staff was very friendly. The centre is easy accesible by taking the... More

Good location, just a few minutes from train station 'Ostbahnhof', underground also close. Room was clean, beds are hard. Good for people with a tighter budget. Breakfast was not spectacular but OK. The coffee was very good. Nice area for sitting in the back outside. Had a room facing the street, too loud to sleep with Windows open. With Windows... More

A great hostel, where you can stay when visiting Berlin. Very close to the center of the city. The team was very polite and everything in the room was very clean. And has a great garden where you can drink a beer and meet al lot of people. The food there was also very good. Will definitely go back there.

When we arrived we had a problem with the invoice and the man from the reception was not very kind but finally we got it as we needed. The walls are thin so you can listen to your neighbors when they speak. Shower and toilets were clean. Room was simple but comfortable. The hostel was full of teenagers but during... More

I loved this hostel! The staff is very lovely and helpful, always smiley and friendly ^_^ I loved meal and the backyard. Wifi works only on the first floor, but that is very often already in the hostels, to force the guests stay together :P Location is very good, hostel is cheap and nice. I would go there again!

The hostel is totally awful. First of all, there was no wi-fi as it was mentioned in room description. Secondly, no one cleaned my room during 5 days. The staff didn`t react at my complains at all. Finally, I had to leave a day earlier than it was planned and asked to charge money back for one day. The manager... More

Never experienced hostel service this awfull. Passive/agressive staff who treats customers in a fashion never seen poorer. I can accept the broken sanitary conditions, the rock-hard pillow, the non-existing (but promised) Wifi, and the obvious lack of security. However, unprofessional staff talking down to their paying customers really was a dealbreaker... The young guy working night shifts must be the... More

Hallo Michael, you took time to write a feedback about our hostel. Thanks. Unfortunately there are written few sentences I do not know why. First our nightshift is not the son the of the owner. Second if he would be the son of the owner he had to work as our other staff, too. That is normal. Our nightshift has... More

If you need a cheap, young hotel for a few night, this hotel the right place. We took a room for two persons, it was very simple, but perfectly convenient. Quite far from the centre of Berlin, but very close to an underground station. If you just need a comfortable place to spend your nights during your trip in Berlin,... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
