Once you go Circus you never go back. I absolutely loved my stay here, to say the least. From the facilities, the staff, the bar, the cafe, the people, I have nothing bad to say. You walk in, the lobby is trendy, the staff are ready to help, it is clean. You can leave your luggage in a storage room... More

Excellent Location. Friendly and super helpful staff (Sjorgen!). Modern facilities. Wi-fi worked perfectly. Awesome breakfast. Spacious and clean room. The only bad thing is that the bedroom didn´t have A/C and if you opened the window it was too noisy. Everything else was flawless. I was recommended to stay there and I will recommend it to others.

I recently stayed in a double private room with my Fiancé for 3 nights. We actually cancelled the remaining few nights and moved to a hotel 1km away. While there is nothing wrong with the hostel itself - it is clean, in a great location, had excellent wifi and the rooms quite spacious and secure. Breakfast was also good value... More

Foue of us turned up in the morning hoping for a room here on a recomendation from a member of staff at another hostel! We were given a 4 bed room which consisted of single beds and was very spacious and clean. The toilet and shower facilities are shared by a number of rooms, but are clean and the showers... More

Can't rate this place highly enough - spacious, clean and comfortable rooms, welcoming, helpful and informative staff and a great micro brewery bar. Perfect location - plenty of places to eat, drink and explore right on the doorstep, as well as right by Rosenthaler Platz U-bahn, and a 10 minute walk down to Alexanderplatz. I went on a great hostel... More

I love the circus hostel, I only stayed for one night but as soon as I arrived and dropped off my luggage I made friends and joined a superb free walking tour. It's sell situated, Mitte is my favourite part of Berlin and has plenty of bars and things to do round about. I saw while I was there that... More

Great hostel that is right outside Rosenthalerplatz metro station. This is near Alexanderplatz. This hostel was very very clean and I liked their shower and toilet facilities. There is no free breakfast here, but a restaurant that is open for all meals that you can buy food from.

This is a great hostel, the rooms are exceptional, the staff friendly an the atmosphere of the whole place is great. There is a nice bar downstairs with drinks being fairly reasonable with home brewed beer and gin on offer. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Berlin, young or old.

We had a great week stay at the Circus Hostel. There were amazing places to eat all within walking distance! Our room was spacious and clean, the wifi was good and staff friendly - couldn't really ask for much more. Would definitely stay again.

My sister and I just left the Circus Hostel after a 2 night stay. It was a great experience! We loved the area - great restaurants, a good park, walking distance to main areas and for those that were further away, the underground was literally right outside the door. We had a double room and it was a great size,... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
