From Schönefeld we made our way to the train station. Very complicated and the train worker was not helper. After three trains we managed to get out at the right stop. I would advise a taxi. Arrived at hotel at midnight. Area quiet. Our key was in a hole in the wall which we retrieved by putting in a code.... More

Just come back from a four night stay in Berlin at Propeller Island. When you book, you are asked to give three different options, in case your preferred room isn't available. When we received the response, we were offered two nights in room 22 and two in room 24. Check out the website for pictures of the rooms - my... More

This hotel was one of the reasons for including Berlin to our Europe trip by car for the first time, and then when travelling again some month later to Berlin, we didn't have any doubts where to stay there. This is really a fancy hotel in the center of Berlin for those couples who are looking for inspiration, adventure and... More

This is the craziest, funkiest hotel i have ever stayed in. This place is awesome. 30+ rooms all different themes. Some are more tame than others. Do not miss the oportunity to stay in a truely unique and exciting hotel. Special mention goes to the hostess, Valentina, Always very helpful and perky at breakfast to start your day.

We stayed in the space cube as well. Its AMAZING! completely disregard all negative reviews.. They're most likely from older people who think "The Ring or Jaws" is the scariest movie they have ever seen. This place is so unique and every corner is interesting. Very sweet staff, Beds are definitely stiff but just as much as most places. The... More

We stayed in the space cube room. When I walked in, I almost chickened out and ran away. It was rather late and the darkness kinda makes this room a little too much. I'm glad we got over the freaky decor and stayed. When we were checking out, the hostess was kind enough to let us see any room we... More

I booked the hotel after seeing photos of the quirky rooms. I knew I had to take photos of these. Be forewarned they charge Euro 250 for the privilege, so I backed out of that. After 12 noon there is no receptionist, so they have an elaborate scheme to get the keys to you safely. However, note that the lobby... More

The Propeller Island City Lodge is one of Berlin’s best-known art hotels and deservedly so. Each room has a different theme, ranging from the weird to the sinister. Please look at the pictures on the website: it is definitely out of the ordinary. Since each room is different, it is hard to write a general review. My room had a... More

If you are bored of those Arcor- like chain hotels for your weekend stay in the city try The Propeller Island Citylodge. Each room offers completely different design ranging from puristic all white thru hedonistic s&m style one with beds in form of cages hanging from the ceiling to psychodellic old crypt style where you actually sleep in a coffin...
