This is a stunningly stylish hotel, with beautiful design touches throughout. Our superior room was decorated beautifully, but was on the small side. The bathroom was lovely, but with a very small shower. We had breakfast at the hotel and it was lovely, a good and beautifully presented buffet, with a nice range of juices and food, plus a freshly... More

Just checked in. Had to wait in queue for over twenty minutes to check in. (Booked two "superior" rooms). One room ready, the other not. Room that was "ready" was not. Had to wait for housekeeping to come and rearrange twin beds to king. Refrigerator not on or not working, all items inside warm, including melted chocolate bar. Hotel is... More

Hotel is Zoo is perfect in so many ways. The ambiance, the food and don't forget the cocktails. It is a hotel but it gives you a home feeling. The staff is more than friendly and dedicated to make your stay perfect. You should take your breakfast at the hotel! Freshly squized juices, fresh fruit and most delicious eggs I... More

The hotel is brand new (Nov 14). A lush design property. Design everywhere. The lobby is large, well located reception. The room is relatively small but ok for one person. Overlooking the main road there is a small balcony. Bath with no bathtub but with a large shower is good. There is a small desk, a coffee maker (free of... More

Don't get fooled by design! Mediocre service, dirty walls and dusty rooms, chicane from a doorman and irritating experience as overall result... not truly 5*. If mediocre and partly funny is what your look for for your money. Book at zoo and get fooled, honey... As a frequent traveler, one is constantly on the outlook for the "WOW!". In that... More

Dear Patrik K, Thank you for your valuable Feedback. We are sorry to not have conformed to your expectations. The hotel ist brand new. The walls are freshly painted and therefore not dirty, as you have mentioned. Unfortunately, there was a small black mark (luggage scratch) on the wall in your first room. Our maintenance staff has already taken care... More

My PA booked this hotel for me for a conference stay. From the moment I entered the automatic front doors, I felt that she'd made an excellent choice! The decor is sophisticated, modern and stylish, with quirky touches (the grand Alice in Wonderland black, gloss door in the double height reception room) that delighted you. The room was equally a... I had made a reservation at this hotel through a booking engine and guaranteed my reservation with a credit card. The rate was advertised as a "pay when you stay" rate and I paid EXTRA for the right to cancel my room up to 3:00 PM on the day of the reservation. There was no ambiguity whatsoever about the cancellation... More

Thank you for taking the time to give us this valuable feedback. We are sorry for the inconvenience. After inquiring internally, we have found that the booking engine you have chosen, did not correctly promote our payment and cancellation policy. During high seasons or fair periods, we take deposits for the stay. During these periods a cancellation free of charge... More

Gorgeous designed hotel, excellent service, friendly and attentive staff Top location right on Kudamm st, next to the underground (50m) and close to the Zoologischer central location (500m) As a previous reviewer wrote - quality and beauty wherever you look - from the private room to the public areas, the lobby, the bar and the breakfast restaurant The superior room... The newly opened hotel (we stayed February 2015) is a so called designer hotel, well done. The room we booked a Grand Deluxe room, is spacious, well designed and bright. To reach the far from regular elevator (I will not reveil the surprise), can involve a walk of 60 to 80 meters (depending of the room booked). The Zoo is... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
