My room has good daylight but very dark at night, can't see what i m packing. Buy your own midnight snack if you know you will get hungry after 11pm, because the front desk will connect you to the 24 hour room service; and you will be sure to be diverted to someone's Vodafone message box. I tried 5 times,... More

Perfectly. Ice hotel that we booked in a bit of a rush. If I had known Berlin better I would have gone for a hotel closer to the east side of Berlin where more of the attractions are based but this was a nice hotel close to some good shops and restaurants.

We decided to try Hotel Zoo on this trip because it had re-opened after renovation and the location is great. Last time we stayed in Hotel de Rome (also very good, but in a quieter part of town) and Hotel Zoo is at the same standard. We used their published advance rate and got a good deal on a larger... I have stayed in hotels all around the world due to my business over the past 20 years. We are also frequent leisure travels with my wife. We picked the Hotel Zoo based on the recommendation of our friends. Please take my word, this was perhaps the best hotel experience ever. What a staff, Mrs. Nina at the reception helped... More

This is a stunningly stylish hotel, with beautiful design touches throughout. Our superior room was decorated beautifully, but was on the small side. The bathroom was lovely, but with a very small shower. We had breakfast at the hotel and it was lovely, a good and beautifully presented buffet, with a nice range of juices and food, plus a freshly... More

Just checked in. Had to wait in queue for over twenty minutes to check in. (Booked two "superior" rooms). One room ready, the other not. Room that was "ready" was not. Had to wait for housekeeping to come and rearrange twin beds to king. Refrigerator not on or not working, all items inside warm, including melted chocolate bar. Hotel is... More

Hotel is Zoo is perfect in so many ways. The ambiance, the food and don't forget the cocktails. It is a hotel but it gives you a home feeling. The staff is more than friendly and dedicated to make your stay perfect. You should take your breakfast at the hotel! Freshly squized juices, fresh fruit and most delicious eggs I... More

The hotel is brand new (Nov 14). A lush design property. Design everywhere. The lobby is large, well located reception. The room is relatively small but ok for one person. Overlooking the main road there is a small balcony. Bath with no bathtub but with a large shower is good. There is a small desk, a coffee maker (free of... More

Don't get fooled by design! Mediocre service, dirty walls and dusty rooms, chicane from a doorman and irritating experience as overall result... not truly 5*. If mediocre and partly funny is what your look for for your money. Book at zoo and get fooled, honey... As a frequent traveler, one is constantly on the outlook for the "WOW!". In that... More

Dear Patrik K, Thank you for your valuable Feedback. We are sorry to not have conformed to your expectations. The hotel ist brand new. The walls are freshly painted and therefore not dirty, as you have mentioned. Unfortunately, there was a small black mark (luggage scratch) on the wall in your first room. Our maintenance staff has already taken care... More

My PA booked this hotel for me for a conference stay. From the moment I entered the automatic front doors, I felt that she'd made an excellent choice! The decor is sophisticated, modern and stylish, with quirky touches (the grand Alice in Wonderland black, gloss door in the double height reception room) that delighted you. The room was equally a... Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
