If you are the type of person that likes to dress nice when you are going on an airplane, then you will love the Hotel Zoo. It you like a hotel where someone took a lot of time to put little touches (most of which I wouldn’t mention in the review because it would be spoilers...its more fun to experience... More

Exciting views from the rooms window to the city center. It's really amazing place, modern design, lovely staff, great rooms and good service. Wonderful breakfast, pleasant atmosphere. We had everything we needed. I recommend it to visiting.

As a Berliner myself, I sometimes take inner-city trips, just to see other parts of town, and also to just enjoy myself. I had heard of Hotel Zoo, and was curious to check it out. I don't have time to write a lengthy review, just this: my two-night stay was splendid. It is beautifully and tastefully designed, modern, yet warm.... More

As the above says, very disappointed with this place. First impressions when we arrived were good as the lobby and entrance looked quite plush. I booked this on Booking.com and took one of their Panorama rooms on the 5th Floor which looked nothing like the pictures on the website. Very small room, useless pillows on the bed (as soon as... Dear Gary E, Thank you for your valuation. Sad, you did not appreciate the high expenditures invested in our beautiful hotel. Our hotel was renovated completely. All constructions and systems are of the newest standards and measure up to highest quality. Our panorama rooms offer an outstanding view from the 5th and 6th floors. Apart from that, the room you... I was very curious to stay at Zoo as I know the hotel before the big renovation and I have to say: wow, what an experience! Outstanding design, wonderful rooms and a service that delivers the promise. The lobby is an amazing place. Bar & restaurant are "the place to go" at the moment. My room on the fifth floor... More

Hotel is located on Kurfursterdam, right in shopping area. It is rather "design" hotel, but comfortable and quiet during working days a week. From additional attractive points - beautiful must to go Berlin Zoo in 5-7 minutes walking distance from the hotel. Non-attractive points: -in the evening - nights during weekend hotel bar and restaurat are used for privat parties... More

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We try to control the music volume in the GRACE Bar, so that the music cannot be heard in the rooms facing the court yard. Our windows are soundproof when they remain closed. The air conditioning caters fresh air. We have also installed an awning, which may provide some sound isulation, if guests prefer... More

The Hotel uses a unique premise as it relates to arrival staffing. The receptionist does a terrific job with the check in process then functions as the concierge and helps guide tourists like us. Found the barman as well as the bellmen very friendly and helpful. When we asked for a taxi to be arranged, it was prompt and our... More

I arrived late on Thursday night, feeling quite tired after a difficult day. At first, I was impressed by how trendy and beautiful the bar and hotel was but that didn't last long. I'm in Berlin for business and needed to get some sleep but it proved to be impossible because of the noise. They had a DJ in the... More

I checked in and asked specifically for a quiet room, as I was staying on business. I should have realised I was in trouble when the lady at reception apologised profusely for not being able to move my room. "Does that mean my room WON'T Be quiet?", I asked. "I'm very sorry", she replied politely. So the signs were there.... More

Restaurant too busy to take guests. I tried to get a drink and food at the bar. I was told by a member of the bar hostess team to leave because I was wearing open toed sandals. Russell and Brimley and brand new too - clearly my DVF top and max Mara trousers weren't trendy enough. So come here if... More

I am sorry for the inconvenience you had to face in our GRACE Bar. We sure do not intend to humiliate any of our guests. Please understand, the GRACE Bar is outsourced and operated externally from 6 pm every day. The employees have a very strict policy to follow, concerning the dress code for guests in the GRACE Bar. Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
