Very efficient check in, lots of information about Berlin with maps. Bus 100 stop just front of the hotel (Zoologischer Garten & Alexanderplaz), 10min walk from Kadewe. Nice hot water with excellent pressure, great a/c. Complimentary water & gummy bears made my day :)

The hotel is located near the Berlin Zoo and there is a bus stop just in front of the hotel. Rooms were simple and clean, no minibar. Bathtub. Breakfast was good and staff were friendly - we couldn't check in in the morning but they took care of ou groups' luggage, no problem.

I was amazed to find such a comfortable room and nice hotel for less than $50 a night for one person in Berlin. It far exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend it. Also, worth noting that they now have air conditioning.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in August. We were pleasantly surprised how big the suite was considering the price (we had 2 bedrooms and living room and balcony; one bedroom very small but had 2 single beds which was great for kids). Rooms were extremely clean, bright and new. Great location with walking distance to Ka De... More

The cost of the hotel was reasonable (although it was part of a package deal, so I'm not exactly certain of the price). The staff was pleasant and helpful when I arrived. This was a solo holiday, so I have no complaints about the room or bed size (though two in the bed I had would be tight). The room... More

First visit to Berlin and choose the Hotel Sylter Hof after reviewing prices, I have to say that the hotel is very nice. We have a large comfort room which was more like a suite than a room it had its own kitchen and dining are, decent size bathroom with a shower and large bedroom. The room was very clean... More

On the good side I should say the staff are very nice and friendly and the lication is very central, close to ka de ve. Also the price is reasonable. Minus points are: the single room is tiny and kinda old. There is almost no place to open the luggage. And bathroom dore can not be opened cause it hits... More

Bus line 100 stops next to the entrance and takes you to many of Berlin's touristic attractions. The hotel room and the bathroom were renovated and the room had its own air conditioning system. Very friendly and helpful service at reception. I got WiFi service in the room for free. It was a bit unstable but still usable.

Very well situated for bus and train stops. We had a suite which was very spacious, good air con and a fridge in the kitchen (even though it had no cutlery or crockery!). The breakfast really should be included in any deal but was good value at €11. The bed was lovely although an extra pillow each would have been... More

Dear guest Thank you very much for your comment. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us even if you are right that our Suits are a bit dated but will be refreshed next year at the latest. Staying in Schoneberg

Neighborhood Profile
Schoneberg
In 1963, Schöneberg was the center of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the center of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
