This is a nice, clean, safe, modern hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is pretty good. Very close to an underground station and the #100 bus stops right out front. So it is easy to get to all the major sites. My issue was that I had a single room for 4 nights before a family... More

In March 2015, I (30 yrs old) stayed at Hotel Sylter Hof in Berlin for three nights during a combined business/leisure trip. Hotel Sylter Hof is located in the city center of Berlin, not far from the “Gedächtniskirche”, the zoo and the shops on “Kurfürstendamm”. Bus 100, which stops at many of the most famous sights in Berlin, leaves right... More

Dear guest, thank you very much for rating us and the good comment regarding the Suite. We would like to apologize for the bad Wi-Fi connection. We will do our best to optimize the handling in future. Concerning the attitude we already had a face to face conversion with our staff. Hopefully see you next time again. Best regards Christoph... I arrived in Berlin at Shoenefeld Airport and the cab fare was about 37 euros to get here. Would have used public transport, but I wanted to save time as it was late. I also used the Guaranteed Booking option so that my reservation would be held past 6 pm. The staff was incredibly friendly. At the reception, I was... More

The hotel itself looks lovely in reception and clean. The room was clean but kitchen totally redundant as no cutlery, plates, pans or anything at all (so why there?) size of rooms good but oddly no double beds throughout the hotel. Staff good with English. One staff member somewhat rude though. Breakfast definitely not worth the cost but restaurant clean.... More

Location: just 7 minute walk to the tram station and only two station to the TU Berlin, therefore perfect when attending a conference here. Price: very honest for Berlin area. Service: kind an professional personal. Rooms: partially were renovated, but personally I found the bathroom a bit outdated, although I can not complain about cleanness. Breakfast: very good and diversified,... More

unlike some of the other reviews for this hotel our room was very clean and tidy. The tea and coffee were not refreshed daily which was a shame but other than that the house keeping was adequate. We arrived at 11.30pm and were told that as we were late we could have s suite rather than a room which was... More

The hotel is ok. Nothing fancy. Decent. Clean. The room I got was spacey. Was funny to have two single duvets instead of one for the double bed. Staff is nice and polite. You can buy daily passes for the public transportation at the front desk. The bus stop is just few meters from the hotel. What I liked most... More

Room is small but cleanliness, safe and confortable. Very good price for the localization (near Zoo and KaDeWe). If you don't like the breakfast, you have many options nearby, such restautants (arabic, chinese, thai, vietnamese, etc.) with less than 5min walking, and pizza and others café shops. Wifi free, good but in many times slow. And the crew are fantastic:... More

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighborhood Profile
Schoneberg
In 1963, Schöneberg was the center of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the center of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
