The hotel is wonderfully situated, close to potsdamer platz, gandermarie market, fridrichstr., checkpoint charlie, and 1 minute walk to the stadmitte ubahn station which serves both the u2 and u6 trains. Good sized and clean rooms. Attentive staff. Breakfast is over priced, but with so many coffee places on fridrichstr, who needs the hotel for that.

A great Hotel, although the check-in experience was not up to standard it seemed as the receptionist is still new at her job, and did not explain about the facilities and gave us an occupied room at first. can't say the staff are very friendly and helpful. But what is great about this Hotel it is new and spacious the... More

Nice hotel spoiled by poor housekeeping service. Stayed in a sixth floor room for 3 days ,it was nice and quiet as I chose to face into the courtyard and the sleep quality was good. Breakfast was 22 euro each in the hotel however there are plenty of cafe bars nearby which are much cheaper. This is the hotel to... More

The hotel is located at a prime location right next to Check point Charlie , Berlin Mall and main streets. Though the standard room was quite small, it was comfortable . breakfast was very satisfying as well as the hospitality.

The NH Berlin is a good modern hotel with a very good location as far as connections to the other parts of the city. With Gendarmenmarkt just around the corner as well as Friedrichstrasse, you'll find yourselves close to all things Mitte. For those things which are a bit more far away, the U2/U6 is right at the doorstep of... More

Good hotel, well located and friendly and helpful staff. Asked for an inside room as the street is busy and very noisy. Located within a 5 minute walk to Check Point Charlie and many other interesting tourist attractions. Breakfast too expensive so went around the corner to eat. All in all, very enjoyable stay and would definitely return.

Just returned home from a long weekend break in Berlin and this hotel did not disappoint. We arrived into Schönefeld airport which is about a 30 minute train journey into the main central stations. You can take the RB19, RE7 and RB14, depending on where you are heading to. I would advise downloading the Berlin Subway app to your phone... More

Very near Check Point Charlie and Branderburgen Tor, it's a well designed hotel for business And holidays. Just a little bit difficult to get in The bath for ancient people but the rest is excellent. The breakfast price is out of market but I guess that's not their core business so no problem to have it outside.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
