Great value hotel in mitte. 5 mins drive from main train station and 2 mins walk to subway. Lobby bar is convenient for evening drinks and has plenty of spirits. Staff is very friendly and ready to help you explore the city.

Centrally located this hotel has a lot to offer. Walking distance to a lot of tourist attraction and some great restaurants. The room we had was spacious with a king size bed, which was very comfortable. Rooms very clean and tidy. Little extras provided. Staff very helpful.

If you stay in this hotel I recommend booking a superior room for additional 10 Euros with respect to a standard room. The superior rooms have been renovated and hence the design but also overall comfort feeling is nicer. The breakfast is just normal and the size of the room is fine if you are on a business trip and... More

I've never had a bad experience in an NH and the NH Mitte is no exception. Great location, great accommodations, wonderful staff. Rooms are modern and clean, with wonderful amenities. Breakfast - albeit VERY pricey - is wonderful. The concierge was very helpful - pointing us to the Sunday market, which was a great experience. This hotel is very close... More

All ok if all is ok. But when something was not ok, the staff was on the defensive. Who trains these people, anyway?. I don't like their corporate culture if they can't be more human when things don't go right. Who makes beds with mattresses upside down? Who fails to return a call from elderly people at midnight? Well the... More

The purpose of my trip was to facilitate a 1.5 day seminar; however, I was not responsible for the venue selection. Meeting support was fantastic! Lunch at the restaurant from the menu was very good. Breakfast buffet was also terrific with plenty of different offerings. The buffet dinner and next day buffet lunch was very similar and a bit disappointing.... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
