Very big rooms. Very clean. Central location - close to checkpoint charlie and Unter den Linden. We came in early - just after noon and got our suite with once. Also when we had a very late flight - they took care of the luggage. This might be a problem during weekend - when the reseption close early. If I... More

Amazing perfect hotel for families. Big spacious clean rooms with separate sitting room and kitchen and balcony. Im fussy about cleanliness but this hotel bad great cleaning. The kitchen is complete with all amenities and microwave. The only negative things I thought was the late check-in, we arrived at 1.30 pm and were told that the room wouldn't be ready... More

We stayed at the Mandala Suites for a weekend and had one of their smaller suites (around 40 m2), with separate living (including kitchenette), bathroom, toilet. The room was well-equipped (e.g. 2 TVs) and not lacking style, clean and in very good state. An oasis after a busy day. The breakfast is taken at the top-floor of the building, in... More

If you are not arriving by taxi have a good look on the map first because the main entrance is not that easy to spot at 185-190 Friedrichstrasse. Once you are checked in you will use a side entrance in Mohrenstrasse to go in and out. There is a big supermarket about 200 metres left from the side entrance, along... More

My wife & I stayed at the Mandala suites from 11/17--22/14. I'll start w/the good stuff, as there were just a few negatives. First, the location of the hotel is ideal--right next to a underground tram stop (U2 Line, I believe), and only a short ride from the Hauptbahnhof (1 transfer). The rooms are spacious, large bedroom, living room &... More

Conveniently located in a quiet environment with spacious and well appointed suites. A much better deal than most hotel rooms. For those who do prefer to eat outside, there are many of Berlin's best restaurants within walking distance.

Suite was like a three rooms flat. Breakfast extremely smooth. It's not a hotel, it is a private resort wth a perfect entrance service. Location could'nt be more central. Tube, buses, restaurants all around.

I frequently travel to Berlin and the Mandala Suites is the best hotel in the city. It is like having an apartment to live in, with full amenities like a kitchen, living area and business functionality. It also has a great location on Friedrichstrasse in the heart of the action.

The Mandala Suites are in a perfect location, just off Under den Linden, they are within easy walking access to all the main sights in Berlin. There are a number of cafes and bakeries close by for breakfast and a good REWE supermarket in Quartier 206, if you want to buy some food items. We had a superior suite, which... More

This was my first time staying at The Mandala Suites in Mitte (Berlin) --- But it will definitely not be my last ... My overall experience was excellent! All of the staff members were very courteous & friendly. They made me feel so comfortable there & were also very helpful. The hotel itself is marvelous & feels like *a home... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
