Very courteous staff. Rooms clean. The hotel is located very near to the "Ostbahnhof"-Station which makes it very convenient for using the excellent public transport around Berlin. I would stay there again.

Returned to this ibis having stayed here for 3 nights in February. Again it was a lovely stay. The second week of August in Berlin was very hot so the air con in the room was a blessing. Breakfast was lovely with fresh baked baguettes meats and cheeses. All staff were friendly and they had even allocated us the same... More

The breakfast was disgusting it felt like I'm eating chewing gum when I ate the bread. The service was terrible, no one where able to answer my questions and very unfriendly . The only friendly person that works in this hotel was the lady at the reception. I hope that i will never have to sleep in this hotel again!!

Its only a a few blocks away from Ostbahnhof Station. The rooms are clean and there are many things to do around the Hotel. I recommend it for people who wish to go to Berlin's underground club "Berghain". :D

We visited for the Berlin Bierfest and booked a 3 bed room at this hotel. The room had 3 single beds and disabled toilet and shower facilities. Although the outside temperature was between 37c during the day to high 20'sc at night the hotel air conditioning was fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The Ostbahnhof station... More

I loved the location of this Ibis – a 5 minute walk to Ostbahnhof and 10 minutes walk into Kreuzberg and Mitte. Right next to the East Side Gallery. Some really cool little bars and cafes nearby. Ibis hotels are fairly uniform, so you know what you're getting if you've ever stayed in one – they're simple, clean and no... More

The Ibis Berlin Ostbahnhof is situated 200 yards from the Ostbahnhof train station, which was very convenient for me and my partner considering we were just off a 7-hour train journey from Amsterdam. The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and well organised. Would recommend to anyone staying this side of Berlin.

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
