Except from the fact that it is very close to the train station I don't really see anything good about the location of this hotel. There is nothing around except the train station, i.e., no nice restaurants or bars. Fortunately the hotel has a bar where you can have something to eat if you don't want to go too far... more

Stayed for 2 nights/3 days in March with colleagues on business. The hotel is very central and just opposite the Ostbanhof (station) and it's very easy to get to anywhere you might want to go. Check in was very quick and efficient and we were all expected, our keys were ready and we were all in our allocated rooms very... more

I concur with most reviewers that it is a good hotel for the price. It's handy for the Ostbahnhof and great if you're a trendy young clubber (which I'm not) heading off to the uberclub 'Berghain' just the other side of the station in an old powerstation. My top Berlin tips....hire a bike - there are cycle lanes everywhere and... more

I stayed one night only on a recent trip to Berlin. My other hotel didn't inform me that I had to check in before 12am so I was stuck. Checked a couple more places around Ostbahnhof but they were all full. When I saw the Ibis sign I went straight there as I had chances to stay at Ibis before... more

We have stayed in the Ibis Hotel for several nights in different years, mainly serving as a stopover on our way to other locations in Europe. It's one of the cheaper options - i got a rate as low as 41 euros through online booking. Although the area, around to Ostbahnhof, is dull and there's not much to do, the... more

Stayed 3 times. Good location. A great busy hotel with good breakfast and bar. Have not eaten there. 5 mins. walk from railway station that has everything. So many things nearby. Secure underground parking. Google Earth garage entrance (on different street to lobby entrance): 52°30'37.34"N 13°25'45.68"E more

Enjoyed a Three Night Break .24 Men took 12 Double rooms to celebrate a 50th Birthday. Flying from East Midlands and staying from Thursday till Sunday. The hotel was clean and tidy and adequate for our requirements. Dont bother with Breakfast the Station complex across the road offers a far better selection. Location a little remote for the attractions but... more

Stayed here for the Berlin Marathon in Sep 2007. Very easy to get to (come out of the front entrance of the Ostbahnhof train station, look across the street to your right, and its there! Just be careful when crossing the road...) , it is more geared to the business traveller, but has plenty to offer the casual tourist. Very... more

My wife and I stayed at the Ibis Ostbahnhof for two night in July. The hotel is pretty standard for an Ibis differences from anywhere else in the world is a nice little bar serving good german beer. It is clean, comfortable and the staff all speak a multitude of languages. The hotel is located around 5 minutes walk across... more

We recently stayed 4 nights at the Ibis Ostbahnhof hotel in Berlin. While the hotel is very near the Ostbahnhof train station, we arrived late at night and found it slightly hard to find in the dark, in the icy cold Berlin wind! We checked in at 11pm with no problem, and our room was just as requested, double, no-smoking.... more
