Perfect location. Within walking distance of the central attractions, Room was perfectly clean and, strangely, for such a central position, really quiet guaranteeing a good night's sleep. Staff were invariably friendly and the breakfast selection was first class in every way!

I spent there two days in February 2015 and I have to say it was nearly perfect. It was a short business trip and this hotel has perfect location, just off Friedrichstrasse in Mitte. It's close enough to Tegel airport so that you can be there in 30 minutes by taking U6 and then bus 128 or paying a 25... More

The main plus of this hotel is without doubt its location, close to the Museum Island and Unter den Linden and not far from the Friedrichstrasse rail station, so easy to reach if you are travelling to Berlin by train. My room was quite clean, and so was the bathroom, but there was no WLAN and the curtains did not... More

The staff is very friendly - real good hosts -, the rooms sufficient, the location excellent! Friedrichstrasse is just a few meters away, and the woderful museums of the city are just around the corner.

In a totally perfect location, about 75 meters off Friedrichstrasse, walking distance to Museum Island, with plenty of excellent restaurants nearby. From the moment you arrive, you're met by a friendly and accomodating staff. The rooms are very large, totally new and spotlessly clean. A tasty continiental breakfast is included with your room. The management takes real pride in the... More

This hotel is in a great location. Train, Bus, Tram very close although we didn't bother using any, we walked everywhere. We found to come from the Tegel Airport by bus it was easy to get out at Karlplatz stop and then walk up Reinhardstrase to Friedrichstadtpalast and the Hotel is just around the corner. We even walked up Reinhardstrase... More

This hotel is quiet, clean, friendly, reasonably priced, and in a great location. The staff are very friendly; I was really hungry in the middle of the afternoon, and the restaurant was closed, but they made me a small salad and some tea, which was great. Wireless internet access is free, but available only in the lobby.

Great experience at this economical little hotel with excellent location near major sites and stations. Clean, efficient, and unfailingly friendly. I needed some special help and the staff went out of its way to provide it. I would have felt like I was imposing at a bigger hotel, but at Dietrich-Bonhoeffer the staff shared my joy in resolving the problem... More

It was an ecxellent experience!we stayed in the hotel for 5 nights and we were very pleased with the size of the room, the cleanliness, the furnishing ect. it was a hot day so we had to leave the windows open at night, it was a bit noisy as the room overlooked the busy Oranienburg strasse, but this was minor... Wedged between clasy Friedrichstrasse and bustling Orianenburgstrasse, right in the heart of East Berlin, this is probably your best deal in Berlin. Big, clean, confortable rooms, great breakfast and excellent location are the musts of this ideal hotel in Berlin. A close walk from 2 metro station, very close to the Friedrichstrasse Banhof, and to the river. I was not... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
