As the title indicates..... lots of positives including free WiFi & a wonderful full breakfast for 9.90 Euros/person. The major U-Bahn Station is 3 blocks away & rooms are clean. However, the major problem here is that rooms have NO air conditioning & that can be a problem when the temperature here is 90 degrees Fahrenheit outside as it is... More

If you are in the west side of Berlin, you should love this small hotel: gentle employees, good breakfast, nice rooms (though a bit small for german standard), free wifi (ask for your pw at the reception), ideally located (5 min walk from Zoologischer Garten, 2 min from Steinplatz, 10 min the spree, and 5 min to Savignyplatz) and affordable... We booked the Astoria because of the location relatively close to the Kurfurstendamm. We left it late to book a place and we were there for gay pride so most of the local hotels were booked out or very expensive. We eventauly booked two non-smoking rooms for two nights at about 50 pounds per room per night (single occupancy). We... More

This was my second trip to Berlin so the hotel location was very important to me. It really is a great spot for getting around the city. We had 2 single rooms - the beds are a bit hard and we were looking forward to getting back to our own bed by day four. Its on the same street as... More

I was able to book here at the last minute and found the staff very helpful and a nice clean room. I can't comment in heating/cooling, as neither were needed. I was on the first floor. The location is excellent for wandering around and I would most definitely stay again. I didn't have breakfast or use any amenities.

Only a couple of minutes walk from the Zoo station. Large, clean rooms. Friendly staff. Free wifi for the duration of your stay which worked reliably and at a good speed. Only downside was the excessive heating - had to sleep with windows open incurring some traffic noise as a consequence.

Great location in the central of Berlin: near the Berlin Zoologischer Garten railway station (where you can find buses, regional express trains, U-Bahn and S-Bahn), arriving quickly to every place in Berlin - main locations and shooping area of Kurfürstendamm. The staf is super friendly and the rooms are very clean. I enjoyed my stay there and will return again... More

We stayed in this hotel based on reviews on trip advisor and Rick Steve's boo and we were not that impressed. Although the rooms were clean they were very dated and their AC wasn't working. The breakfast buffet was less then mediocre and e milk they have us for our coffee was curdled and sour. We were convenient to the... More

I've just spent six nights at this brilliant hotel in the central of Berlin. I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Superb and serviceminded staff, clean rooms and in a great location. What more do you want. I will stay here again!

Stayed here With a Group of seven and was impressed by their staff, especially at reception, who were really friendly and doing everything to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The hotel itself is kind of old fashioned, With dated Furniture, and With a 33-degree heatwave, the lack of air-conditioning was terrible. There was a fan in the rooms, and... More
