This hotel has closed as of December 15, 2014. It was truly a little gem and at a great price. . They do recommend their sister hotel that is close by. Berlin Plaza Hotel at Kurfurstendamm. The location is as good and quiet close to the Zoo station. i have not stayed here but the prices look comparable.

This hotel is close to zoologischter garten station. Its 3 minutes walking to the station, restaurant and shopping center around. From the tegel airport you could use 109 express bus to this station and from there just walk to the hotel. The room is comfortable style match with the room price. The bathroom equipped with bathtub in modern way. Internet... More

I stayed in this hotel for 5 days and would recommend it. Clean and comfortable and provided a good breakfast which included cooked food. Although being centrally located, the hotel was quiet even though my room was on the front. It is very conveniently located being within walking distance of the Zoologister Garten railway station and a main bus station.... More

The hotel is about 5 mins walk from Zoologischer Garten, so it is very easy getting there from the airport. The rooms were ready before check in (which was 3:00 p.m.) so we could get right into. Many restaurants and shops nearby. There is no AC in the hotel so on hot days it can get hot in the rooms... More

I stayed there one night - thaks to some discount. And hotel was in line with my expectation. The room was quite clean, nice furniture, big bathroom. But probably we had some pitch, because bathroom smelled terribelly. Sleeping quality was good, there was no noise during night. There are limited possibilites for car parking, everywhere you have to pay on... More

I stayed for a couple of days at this hotel. The room was enormous large, with two big rooms and full-size bath. It was a pleasant surprise for us. Hotel is situated near the main shopping street, so you can do shopping not far from your living place. There are also a lot of cafes and restaurants near the hotel.

As the title indicates..... lots of positives including free WiFi & a wonderful full breakfast for 9.90 Euros/person. The major U-Bahn Station is 3 blocks away & rooms are clean. However, the major problem here is that rooms have NO air conditioning & that can be a problem when the temperature here is 90 degrees Fahrenheit outside as it is... More

If you are in the west side of Berlin, you should love this small hotel: gentle employees, good breakfast, nice rooms (though a bit small for german standard), free wifi (ask for your pw at the reception), ideally located (5 min walk from Zoologischer Garten, 2 min from Steinplatz, 10 min the spree, and 5 min to Savignyplatz) and affordable... We booked the Astoria because of the location relatively close to the Kurfurstendamm. We left it late to book a place and we were there for gay pride so most of the local hotels were booked out or very expensive. We eventauly booked two non-smoking rooms for two nights at about 50 pounds per room per night (single occupancy). We... More

This was my second trip to Berlin so the hotel location was very important to me. It really is a great spot for getting around the city. We had 2 single rooms - the beds are a bit hard and we were looking forward to getting back to our own bed by day four. Its on the same street as... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
