Stayed for five days. 2-3 minutes walking distance to the bus station where you can catch direct bus 100 to Alenxandraplatz. The hotel is also near to Zoo and 5-10 minutes walking distance to Zoologischer Garten S+U train station. The hotel looks old but clean. My hotel charge did not include breakfast so I paid 13 Euro per day for... More

I stayed here with my 12 year old son for 6 nights. The hotel is in a good location, just 100 metres from the nearest tube station (Wittembergplatz) and 200 metres from KaDeWe and Kurfurstendamm for shopping. There is also a Kaisers (supermarket) less than 100 metres from the hotel. The room was fine, with comfy beds and adequate Storage.... More

Pleasant staff, nice location, functional, but comfortable rooms. Just by the Berlin Zoo and the Tiergarten. A number of good restaurants nearby and a good local food market. Very convenient for the U Bahn with easy access across this great City.

My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights over Easter. On arrival the entrance and reception area was clean and modern and we were greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. The bedroom and bathroom were rather old and in need of a refurbishment but given the price the owner is obviously not going to refurb while they... More

For the price we paid we where a bit uncertain about this hotel but it turned out quite well, we had a room on 6th floor which was nice and staff are friendly, just don't fall for the complimentary bottle of water because they will charge you €5 unless you're really thirsty

What was not in order with the rate you have paid? Sorry, but yes, we do charge EUR 5.00 for a 1 litre water bottle. Compared to minibar bottle sizes ist this a great deal. And as you wrote - we do offer very goog value for money. Kind Regards, the management More

We just stayed for 8 nights at the Sorat hotel. We were 2 adults and 2 boys ages 8 and 10 and the overall experience was very good. I definitely recommend this hotel! We booked 2 rooms with a connecting door. We got early to the hotel because of our flights schedule and the rooms where ready! The rooms where... More

First the positives - the location is excellent. It is 2 minutes walk from an underground station in one direction and 2 minutes walk to a bus station in the other. The bus 100 will take you to most tourist attractions in Berlin - the Reichstag building, museum island, etc. The hotel is also very, very good value. I booked... More

Free Wifi, although not a great connection. Very nice service minded staff at the reception. The rooms on the 6th floor were poor and old. The rooms on lower levels seems to have been renovated. Breakfast had a large selection but not so many very healthy alternatives (such as porridge, smoothies and fruit).

I was very happy with this hotel- I had nothing to complain about at all. Staff friendly but I wasn't very demanding of them. This is a good choice if your stay is about Berlin and the hotel is for a reliable base rather than luxury. But the room was comfortable and cleaned daily. Lovely powerful shower. No need to... Shame you did not try our sumptous Breakfast Buffet with Salmon & sparkling wine, baked beans, asian chicken soup, chicken wings, fried sausages and eggs.....and more for EUR 13,00 per person. Staying in Schoneberg

Neighborhood Profile
Schoneberg
In 1963, Schöneberg was the center of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the center of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
