The hotel is located 2 minute walk away from the Wittenbergplatz U Bahn station which is also where the KaDeWe department store is. The bus stop for the 100 and 200 bus is 1 minute walk away in the other direction. Check in was quick and efficient. The room was fairly large but basic. Had a huge closet but no... More

This hotel is a personal favorite. It is comfortable and pleasant but the real joy is the location and the ease of access to so much that is great in Berlin. Half a block to Wittenbergplatz Ubahn and KaDeWe (the best department store in Europe). Half a block to bus route 100 which takes you to Alexanderplatz via the Victory... More

I stayed here in room 402 from May 29th until June 1st. Ok price and really good location. However... - the wifi went up and down, up and down, and you can only use one device and can not switch between phone and ipad - is this 2014? - the connecting door is paperthin so you can hear normal speaking... The hotel is in a great location perfectly suited for staying in whilst exploring Berlin. Our room was nice - very simple and clean. Comfortable beds and a great shower/bathroom combo. We ate their buffet breakfast for a few days, which although expensive was mostly tasty - a huge amount of choices, however one day the baked beans had been... More

The room is bare bones but clean, airy, and functional. The staff was very helpful and spoke English when needed. Great wifi. The bar was nice and reasonably priced. The location is fantastic- an easy walk to shopping, museums, zoo, and other attractions. The street it is on has some great restaurants and bars with friendly people. The block next... More

Stayed for five days. 2-3 minutes walking distance to the bus station where you can catch direct bus 100 to Alenxandraplatz. The hotel is also near to Zoo and 5-10 minutes walking distance to Zoologischer Garten S+U train station. The hotel looks old but clean. My hotel charge did not include breakfast so I paid 13 Euro per day for... More

I stayed here with my 12 year old son for 6 nights. The hotel is in a good location, just 100 metres from the nearest tube station (Wittembergplatz) and 200 metres from KaDeWe and Kurfurstendamm for shopping. There is also a Kaisers (supermarket) less than 100 metres from the hotel. The room was fine, with comfy beds and adequate Storage.... More

Pleasant staff, nice location, functional, but comfortable rooms. Just by the Berlin Zoo and the Tiergarten. A number of good restaurants nearby and a good local food market. Very convenient for the U Bahn with easy access across this great City.

My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights over Easter. On arrival the entrance and reception area was clean and modern and we were greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. For the price we paid we where a bit uncertain about this hotel but it turned out quite well, we had a room on 6th floor which was nice and staff are friendly, just don't fall for the complimentary bottle of water because they will charge you €5 unless you're really thirsty

What was not in order with the rate you have paid? Sorry, but yes, we do charge EUR 5.00 for a 1 litre water bottle. Compared to minibar bottle sizes ist this a great deal. And as you wrote - we do offer very goog value for money. Kind Regards, the management More

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighborhood Profile
Schoneberg
In 1963, Schöneberg was the center of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the center of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
