This hotel is located in a quiet area a long way from the nearest underground (20 mins walk, though there is a bus). The upside is the quietness, and there is a canal for those who like running. The rooms are ok and mine had a typical sort of weird hotel smell - not terrible, but indicative of imperfect repair.... More

Rooms are very clean and newly renovated. Only inconvenience was that the hotel was closed after 10 pm. We had to get an extra key before then in order to get into the hotel wenn we arrive home later. I don't know what will happen if the RFID room card breaks ...

If you are visiting Berlin with your family this hotel is a great choice since they have got a nice, spacious room with a cosy kids bed. It is better to have a car because the location is a bit far from the main attractions (it is close to the Charlottenburg Palace, though)

The Location was literally in a neighborhood. Very small place, clean, and handy. No AC. The front desk guy did the bar, clean up the lobby. He did a good job. I leaved the place about 4.30 am, he gave a key of the back door and of course he did the arrangements the night before with the taxi. Everything... More

We stayed at Alfa hotel for 4 nights in October. From the outside the hotel is nothing special and our taxi driver was unaware it was event there. The lobby and restaurant are also a bit dated and ordinary however the bedrooms are modern and clean with everything you need (Tip - Ask for a couple of extra pillows as... More

The neighbourhood and surrounding areas are not really what you would call nice to visit, but rather better to avoid. However, the rooms have been recently renovated and appear as a pleasant surprise. The design is modern, minimal and functional and in general it is a good and budget place to stay if leisure is not a priority.

Very nice budget hotel in a quiet part of Berlin, staff friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and tastefully decorated. Breakfast is typical buffet style European fare, If you want omelette or scrambled eggs just ask. Easy access to city centre via M27 bus and tube from Trum Strasse U Bahn station. About twenty minutes total. Service of bus and U... More

Clean, quiet hotel on a quiet street just a short bus ride from the subway line. The room was very tastefully presented, clean, modern, classy. Boris was so helpful, friendly, professional, courteous and gave me quick and easy instructions about anything I wanted to see, places I wanted to go and it really made my trip to Berlin so enjoyable.... I stayed here last week on a 3 day business trip. The hotel is clean and quiet. Staff is very helpful. There are no good places to eat nearby, although several Arabic restaurants are available after a 15-20 min walk. There is no tea/coffee making facility in the room. Breakfast could be better - it was average.I was out most... More

We stayed in a double room for 3 nights while sightseeing in Berlin. The hotel room was quite nice; everything was clean, and the room looked as if it had been recently redecorated into a modern studio style. Just a warning: there is no air conditioning, so make sure to open the windows and use the fan provided during the... More

Staying in Moabit

Neighborhood Profile
Moabit
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighborhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city center are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighborhood in the city.
